You think? I rewound that scene like 3-4x - I swear it sounds like Geller, not Keller.

Even when I watched this clip, it still sounds like Geller to me - he says it right near the end at about 3:38 - am I just smoking crack?

I thought he said gellar as well and i believed it to be a bad "crack" at a woman...

I really despise the helen keller jokes and stuff i just think they are in bad taste and that comment left me picking my jaw up off the floor.

god forbid that silver spooned brat ever have to deal with a disability or even better than that fall on hard times...

Peach 03-11-2012 12:14 PM

perhaps he said Gellar, but meant Keller, I dont know, he is stupid. What I DO know, is he is one of the biggest elitist, racist,priviliged assholes i have ever seen on the show, and I cant WAIT for him to be gone!

That's why I thought it was funny - because I thought he said Geller when he meant Keller. The fool.

I agree that he needs to go - looks like there's a tribe switch-up coming this week so maybe he will show his ass to enough people that they will vote him out. :winky:

Parker 03-14-2012 10:27 PM

I love when Colton mixes his metaphors: " ... she's following me around like a fiddle ... " LOL

Oh that boy needs to be voted off but people believe his schtick and just keep on following him. But I have to say, being the Captain of the Titanic doesnt make you a very good Captain. :winky:

Juvenile humor

In Tribal Council, Jeff said "I smell a but." I've been snickering ever since.

Rockinonahigh 03-14-2012 11:26 PM

I'm glad I can check on the show hear ,looks like the same old same old,I missed most of it tonight.

Parker 03-15-2012 12:14 AM

You didnt miss much - I can give a better re-cap.

gaea 03-15-2012 08:02 AM

Confusion....

ok did they mix it up and separate them because it was just no good keeping them all in the same area?

and why didn't they just separate them as they were?

It's no longer "one world"

i do not like colton..

Parker 03-15-2012 10:23 AM

They do this almost every time they "change things up" for a new season - I remember when they had women vs. men last time, it lasted until there were 14-15 people left and then they mixed it up like this ... same for when it was old vs. young.

For those who dont know wth we're talking about, there were 14 people left in Survivor at the beginning of the episode last night - 7 women and 7 men. Before the reward challenge, Jeff told them to drop their buffs and everyone took an egg - half had blue dye, the other half had orange dye and the new tribes (with the same names) were formed.

Then whoever won the reward challenge got to stay on the "One World" beach with everything they had there and the losers would go to another beach and start over.

Coincidentally, the 3 strongest men were teamed up with 3 of the 4 strongest women (plus one not-so-strong female), while Colton was left with 2 ok guys, the old crazy dude, 1 strong woman, and 2 not-so-strong women. I dont remember all of their names, but if you arent watching, names wont make a difference to you anyway. :winky:

The next immunity challenge saw the strong tribe winning and Colton's team lost -- instead of aligning with the women as he had been promising all this time, he convinced one of the 3 women to stick with him as they all voted out the strongest woman - possibly the strongest person, since she was the only one to score at the immunity challenge - off the island.

It's weird to watch people follow a man they know is screwing them over and who they all dislike but they are afraid of how much power he has and of crossing him - when they dont realize that if they banded together, they could vote his ass out and not have to worry about him anymore.

Here ends last night's re-cap ..... lol

Parker 03-21-2012 10:43 PM

Short re-cap from tonight's ep (dont read if you havent watched it yet & dont want to know!):

Colton had an acute appendicitis attack and had to be medevaced out to have surgery. The 2 tribes were told they were going to tribal so everyone on Colton's weaker tribe was scrambling, trying to figure out who to vote off next; while the stronger tribe speculated that since it was "One World," maybe that meant they could vote off someone from the other tribe.

At tribal council, Jeff updated everyone on Colton and then after chatting about how that can change the game, he told them all to drop their buffs because they were going to merge into one tribe and all head back to the "One World" camp.

So the 2 tribes have merged into one tribe of 12 --> 6 women and 6 men.

Game on.

~~~~~
While I feel badly for Colton, I am glad he is gone. He showed his ass there at the end and I think what happened to him was karma - not just because I didnt like him but because he was nasty to Christina, telling her that she could either wait 2 days to be voted out, quit and leave now, or jump in the fire and be medevaced out .... and then he was medevaced out the next day.
Also, I didnt see the merge coming so soon - that was a fun surprise. :winky:
appendicitis is NO fun...been there done that....
karma is a funny thing
that dude...was just plain a nasty fella, im glad he is gone.
what cracked me up was the young one...whats an appendix? *giggles*
all in all don't be a jerk to people karma will kick you in the ass!
I was left in shock when they merged...Alicia she is just plain nasty as well...her and colton's words are going to hurt her i believe...Christina has the 2 guys that were there listening to all that crap she has numbers where i don't think Alicia really does.
Parker 03-22-2012 09:46 AM
The sneak peak for next week looked like Tarzan left the men's alliance, so that might open the door for the women to gain the numbers - meaning they need Alicia, at least for now .... but I'd love to see her go as well. She was nasty to Christina from day one and once she got with Colton and had the numbers, she just let the nastiness fly.
Jonas pointed it out - he said them having the numbers and knowing they would vote Christina off next wasnt enough for them, they had to twist that knife in a little further and make it personal. Not cool - people like that dont win and they dont always last very long either.
And yeah, Kat wanting to know what an appendix was and how she could avoid hurting it was classic. lol - the look on her face as each person said they had theirs out also ... omg.
KARMA BIG TIME!
Yanno the ONLY bad thing about colton,s organ issue :byebye:
was that his antagonistic arrogant ways were never given the opportunity for a SMACK DOWN!
He was being a real fuck head.
But I love that the dynamics have changed again.
More will be reveiled
yep..i so agree
Parker 03-29-2012 08:00 AM
Last night wasnt nearly as good as I was expecting it to be - but then again, I dont really know what I expected, so ... maybe just more back stabbing, blindsides, scrambling, etc. lol
After the merge last week, the tribe went back to the camp and had their merge feast and a few people did a bit of conversing and scrambling; but the overall feel for us, the viewers, was that the new Salani tribe (originally, all women, but then 4 women and 3 men) would stick together and vote off the new Manano tribe (originally all men, but then 3 women and 4 men), even though those in the new Manano tribe thought they were in the same original Manano alliance - meaning, all the men together.
They had a reward challenge where Jeff separated them into to groups of 6 and the winning group got to go have pizza and beer and learn that there was another immunity idol back at camp (keep in mind that Kim found a hidden immunity idol a few days ago and told only Chelsea).
The next morning, Troyzan, who said he is usually up a couple of hours before everyone else, went looking for and found the other hidden immunity idol - and, smartly, imo, told no one.
The immunity challenge was standing on a log, holding a tray with first 1, then 2, then 3 balls - last one left standing was Troyzan and the scrambling started.
The new Salani tribe decided to stick together and vote off Jonas, who was on the new (and old) Manano tribe, because they felt he was the biggest threat on that tribe. The women of the new Salani tribe liked this idea because (a) it's voting off a man and (b) it's voting off a new Manano tribe member so whether they stick with their new Salani alliance or their older female alliance, they were good.
During all of this, Tarzan wanted to wash his nasty-shit-stained (he claimed it was "dirt") drawers. While he was wandering around trying to convince people the stains in his drawers were dirt stains, Chelsea was off in the ocean cleaning her clothes and then adding a pot of water to the fire so she could then boil her clothes.
Tarzan decided to toss his nasty drawers into the the pot of water with Chelsea's clothes that she just scrubbed in the ocean which made mer remove her clothes from the pot - but not before offering to go wash Tarzan's clothes in the ocean for him before adding them to the pot.
This whole exchange irritated me because (a) Chelsea acted like it was her job to clean the dude's laundry and (b) Tarzan acted like it was anyone's job but his to clean his own damn drawers. Nasty nasty man.
Anyway at tribal, the shit hit the fan when Jonas talked about being a provider (he's good at fishing and is a chef, so he was able to cook some good food for them) and not a huge threat in immunity challenges and then threw Mike under the bus because he is a large and muscular man who could be a threat - he also mentioned how the new Manano tribe's plan of voting off Kat wasnt a good idea, which made his tribe/alliance raise their eyebrows at him.
This all pissed off Tarzan, who then decided he wanted to vote off Jonas since Jonas threw their plan to hell & he also went off, Tarzan style.
So basically, Jonas and Leif (the little dude) voted for Mike, but everyone else voted for Jonas. Jonas told Tarzan no hard feelings, but Tarzan said he still had hard feelings. After Jeff snuffed Jonas' fire, Jonas told them all good luck with the food and left.
Next week's preview looks like the women might be re-banding together to re-form their all woman alliance to vote off the guys ... we'll see.
While I was searching the internet for Survivor: One World cast so I could get the names right in my last post, I found an interview with Jeff about Colton and whether or not Survivor would ever bring him back .... he said no. lol
Will ‘Survivor’ Villain Colton Be Invited Back? Host Jeff Probst Answers…
(<-- link to article)
What a difference an episode makes.
Over the course of one hour, “Survivor: One World” lost its reviled bully to a medical concern, cemented a new power alliance with an idol, and brought both tribes together with a last-minute merge.
So, with all of that going on, it seemed like the perfect time to check in with “Survivor’s” 74-time Emmy-award-winning host* Jeff Probst.
*Not mathematically accurate.
Gordon Holmes: The show just lost one of the most hated villains of all time last Wednesday when Colton Cumbie was removed from the game. Did you realize at the time how big of a bad guy was being carted off?
Jeff Probst: I had no idea how ugly Colton was being at camp. I saw one display at Tribal Council when he talked about “I have a black friend, a housekeeper, who I pay.” I didn’t realize how aggressive he was in treating people and how poorly he treated people. Colton is one of the few people I can recall where the audience just has a true dislike for. He’s different from Russell (Hantz) who you just might love to hate.
Holmes: Think we’ll see Colton again?
Probst: Russell you bring back. Colton, I don’t think you do. I can’t imagine celebrating Colton and bringing him back. But, I could be wrong on that.
Holmes: Some people love Russell, some people hate Russell. This Colton hatred seems pretty universal.
Probst: On one hand, Colton is honest. This is where he comes from, this is his truth. But, that doesn’t excuse it. And I think it would be hard to root for him to win the game ever. And I had no idea when he was evacuated how much people despised him. So, it’s always a little weird for me if I had known. Would I have had an attitude with him?
Holmes: I’m going to give you a quick compliment. Don’t be alarmed. But, I think one of your strong points is when it comes to racially charged Tribal Councils like with Bill and Colton this season or Phillip (Sheppard) and Steve (Wright) in “Redemption Island” you don’t take an attitude with people. Rather than breaking it down from your point of view and being, “You’re right” and “You’re wrong,” you seem to embrace the old writers’ adage that, “No villain ever thinks he’s wrong.”
Probst: Thanks.
Holmes: We’re twenty four seasons into this social experiment; do those put-it-all-out-there moments still excite you?
Probst: Any time somebody brings up differences in how they live or how someone looks or their race or their sexuality and they’re willing to talk about it, I get very excited. That’s the fabric of our society. That is what it’s all about, all of our differences. You think you’re right and I think I’m right and the truth could be somewhere in the middle. I don’t know, sometimes the truth is over on the left. So, I like having those discussions. It never surprises me.
Holmes: I’m at risk of having my “Survivor” press badge taken away for two reasons. First, I make Dream Teamers cry.
Note: Dream Teamers are the crack crew of talented, athletic youngsters who practice the show’s immunity and reward challenges.
Probst: Why?
Holmes: Because I beat them in challenges too often.
Probst: (Laughs)
Holmes: And second, I have no idea what’s going on with these twists. You bring out Redemption Island and my first instinct is, “There’s no way anyone can come back into the game and win.” Then it almost happens twice. A challenge goes a different way and Ozzy Lusth is a champion.
Probst: Yup.
Holmes: Matt Elrod and Andrea Boehlke could’ve been serious spoilers too. Then, you announce One World and my first instinct is, “This is great. We’re gonna have all kinds of inter-tribe mingling. I can’t wait.” Then, the exact opposite thing happens. One minute you have Michael stealing a pick axe and the next these two tribes won’t even share fire.
Probst: It’s crazy!
Holmes: What were you anticipating when the One World idea came across your desk?
Probst: We’ve talked about two tribes living on one beach for ten years. We were never sure we could pull it off. There were issues about identifying the tribes. Another concern is that it would be one big love fest and they’d make one big fire, one big shelter and we’d have this mess of twenty people living together. Fortunately, Mike decided to start stealing stuff off the bat and it was game on.
Holmes: So for the sake of one pick axe, the whole season became cutthroat central.
Probst: I never understand that. Stealing? When you need votes to win the game? How does that work long term?
Holmes: If I’m a Manono guy and I witness that? I’d put that in my back pocket and happily rat Michael out when I needed to.
Probst: You need to be on this show.
Holmes: Sign me up. The only problem there is I’m not good looking enough to be a good-looking guy and I’m not quite nerdy enough to be a nerdy guy. You need to keep the show going until I’m old enough to be the cranky geezer.
Parker 04-09-2012 01:33 AM
My bad, I didnt post a recap this past week - but the episode was so boring, I couldnt bring myself to recap it! Mike was voted off and the women are taking over - or at least, trying to take over - we'll see. :winky:
Why I am really here is because while I was watching Breakout Kings tonight, I saw a commercial for a new show that might be of interest to some Survivor fans .... or I should say, Russell Hantz fans. lol
Russell and his brother (remember him from when he visited the last time Russell played Survivor? He was skeevier than Russell imo) are in a house flipping reality show on A&E called Flipped Off - it premieres Saturday April 28th.
I will not be watching because he makes me crazy - hell, he made me like Coach lol - but I thought I'd toss this out there in case we have a few of his fans on the site and they miss him and want to watch him go at it with his brother and others while they renovate and try to sell houses. :winky:
Here's a link to the show --> Flipped Off
What I am expereincing this "season"
for what ever reason...i have a lack of attention when watching the show they will be getting ready for a challenge or what not and then it will be over and i will have to think what just happened...
whats the deal with this i think to myself this is my all time favorite reality show and yet i find myself looking more forward to Sundays airing of the amazing race...
I think i just do not care much for any of the contestants on this season..
The title "One World" was an awesome title then they threw in battle of the sexes and yet it hasn't really been any sort of battle girls whining and crying then pulling in trusting dudes then voting them off posh...what kind of shit is that?
they were all together then separated for what 2 weeks what is that like 4 days survivor time????
I watched last night just as i did last week, Parkers recaps keep me posted for some reason my mind just isn't catching anything about this season and so i think i watch however do not really pay any attention at all...
idk perhaps it will get better????
ive been saying that from the start of this season...
maybe this season im just experiencing a bit of survivor "death" all puns intended
