Hello everyone..... wow, seems like everyone is many states away from me. I must say that in Austin, Texas where I am - there aren't that many women actually looking for anything serious. I'm not young but not old either, a good ripe age of 34, and being single for 2 years has led me to really think about what I am wanting.... I am ready to settle down, but finding a woman who is ready to do that also is hard to find.

YA'all think you have it bad...try being from and living in the Midwest where the closest gay anything is 4 hrs away... Not looking for sympathy tho...I enjoy my life as is...(helps to be a very positive person and very smiley)... Oh right...more about me...Born and raised in Iowa...recently moved to SW Nebraska. I work in the Ethanol industry...and have started up 12 plants in 2 years(lots of travel, not much time to be social)... I run on minimal sleep...and am usually the last to go to bed and the first one up... LOVE sunset and dawn (and have tattoos of both)... In my experience, the more I went "looking for love" the more elusive it became. When I stopped chasing after it, it was more available to me....albeit from married straight women who were NOT looking for 3-somes but it was progress!
Like Mistie, I find hope to be a great motivator. So my current strategy is to do the things that make me happy, be open to new experiences and the people who come along with them, be patient, and remember any new friend is a nice addition to my life. Is anyone else curious where Tcountry would put tattoos of sunset and dawn? |

When I was still a member of aol, we would get men in the lesbian chat rooms posing as women. That is why I stopped going on aol and I could understand, if they are preop mtf's and wanted to ask a few questions, but some were str8t guys.

I too have been missing having someone to cuddle with during this change of season. It is such a wonderful season for me and I come alive during it. I would so love to go to punkin festivals and oktoberfests with someone. Or take a train ride to see the fall foliage. I am usually contently single but as of late, I have been gnawing on a flavorless bone...I need someone to do things with. I think this is a very positive sign that I am ready to truly move on and maybe seriously consider dating again. Who knows? I guess when the opportunity knocks I will be able to judge more...

Well, I had a wonderful weekend! May have to take myself out of this thread! A friend has become something much more. Went out with friends friday, then we went over to my place with 2 other couples, then had lunch on Sat... all day together and into the night .. went to her house for Sunday dinner last night with another couple and her brother. We shall see huh.

its a cold wet Ohio night, my punkin spice candle is the only other light than my laptop. I have on a soft well worn but still beautiful pink flannel nightie. I smell like the lavender soap I bathed in. my nails are all well polished, my legs shaved and scented and lotioned. I am sipping a glass of fresca. My pets are over my shoulder and at my feet. I am so content. So at peace. Could I not share this another? :moonstars:

its a cold wet Ohio night, It was cold and damp and rainy here too In CA. the punkin spice candle sounds like it smells nice and possibly.....like pumpkin pie. I like that smell. That is nice......that your animals are around....that is something very comforting and wonderful. IT sounds like a wonderful evening...
