Rooster is at his Saturday Dungeons & Dragons group, and I'm touching up the gray roots.

Dave the lawn man came the other day, and (although he's one that will talk your ear off given half a chance) it feels good to not be sitting here thinking "I need to get that lawn mowed."

Hope you all are having a great weekend! I went shopping yesterday at Talbots and I picked up a cute shirt for $17.03 with tax. I nearly fell over! I also hit Macy's One Day Sale and picked up a few things. I spent almost $41 for everything...

It's lovely weather here in South Florida, and I haven't had the A/C on since sometime last week when the temperature dropped. Right now, the sliding glass doors are open and a nice cool breeze is coming through the house.

Evil kitty (aka Grayson) has been getting up on the roof by climbing a small palm tree at the back of the house. I heard him meowing up there at 10:30 last night and had to get the ladder out to retrieve him. Lucky him....I was headed to bed and he almost had to spend the night up there or (finally) figure his own way down in the dark!

Today is my every other Monday off and it is jam packed full of phone calls and errands. I am looking forward to getting these things done.

The weather here has been great, with no need to run the a/c but we will be journeying to Phoenix again soon and it was still in the high 90's yesterday. Memo to Mother Nature: It is the end of October.....

Wow! I must be up early or you all are sleeping in. Okay, starting the coffee pot but I don't have time to do more than put store bought muffins out. Ohhh...look what I found! Someone left a bowl of cut up fruit behind the juices. Bet that was Zimmeh. Dig in.

I have to deal face to face with people today and I will be dragging my feet all the way. Don't get me wrong. People are okay. It is just energy draining to me to spend time with more than a few.

My honey and I spent several hours last night enjoying our new cable plan. Woo Hoo!! We have channels. LOL

Coffee is served and I am leaving some hard boiled eggs, whole wheat toast and juice to go with the fresh fruit. I had to work from 5:30p to 2am lastnight and I just got into a good deep sleep, when the apartment complex and fire marshall set off the fire alarms to test them....I got about five hours of sleep and I am exhausted...

hello my dear friends!! How is all here?

I am doing good! I am looking forward to hanging out with my friend from college, who I haven't seen in almost six years. She graduated before I did and I lost her phone number when Apple had to replace my iPhone. I almost knocked her down when I gave her a hug...She is gay as well and she kept pushing me further out of the closet and I thank her for that.

Isn't tonight Devil's Night or something? I love Halloween, and I am hoping that my boss has some candy at work for us. I might as well enjoy it, before I go back to the dentist on November 21st to have a couple of teeth pulled and then I will be getting braces in January to correct my top teeth...I will be stocking up on baby food, yogurt and pudding...

I had an incredibly busy weekend, but managed to accomplish a fair amount. Still need to finish painting the other bedroom, but we're about halfway through the first coat (always slower)...and will get it all done as we get through this week. By next weekend we should be ready to move things in. Rooster picked a Caribbean blue....brighter than I would have picked, but I think it's going to look very nice with bright white trim.

It's raining again today...nice for the lawn and plants...but heard on the radio this morning that we're officially in the dry season, so to enjoy it while we can. I'm still learning about Florida seasons, I can tell!

Thank you for the coffe Jo Jo! I am adding some homemade blueberry pancakes to the coffee. I had a wonderful weekend, doing nothing...It was my last day off until November 9th and I am hoping to have the weekend of Pride off, so I can hang out with my butch friend from college. She jokingly said, I could be her date for the day...hehe...:)

Question, since I don't have any children, what kind of babyfood is good? I am asking since I won't be able to eat much after I go to the dentist in November and then once I get braces in January...The perfect way to loose weight<insert sarcasm>...I say, boo..

Happy November 1st! I am looking forward to another fun filled night at work and hopefully the birthday cake is left somewhere else! Yesterday was my supervisor's birthday and someone brought her in a cake. The gay guy that I work with cracked off a lesbian joke lastnight after my supervisor left, so I took and ran my finger threw the icing and tapped him on the shoulder. When he turned around, I smeared the icing on his face, hehe..Needless to say, the boy didn't know what to do other than giggle.

Feels good to be home after 4 days of training....now I get to enjoy the weekend, do a little more work, and head out at the crack of dawn Monday to go to HQ for a few days. I'll be glad when these trips are over. It's for a good cause...getting new credentials in my profession, but it's a lot of traveling for me...and Scoote is doing double duty taking care of her household and mine while I'm gone.

I had a blast at Pride yesterday and I met some wonderful people! We had to take Ruff's phone from hym..Hy kept taking pictures of everyone and everything..When hym and I left Starbucks, a spider hitched a ride and as we were driving back to my apartment, I felt the nasty little thing crawling on me. I almost jumped right into Ruff's lap and screamed truly like a girl..Hy didn't believe me and when I put my stuff down at home, I started screaming again...Hym and my roommate's friend was, like what is wrong? I looked at Ruff, and said, told you there was a spider on me! The sucker was hanging out on my wall and I ended up killing it...:praying:

It feels really good to be home, and to have a leisurely morning with my kiddo. We both slept in a bit (for us) and didn't get up until 9...but then moved only as far as the couch to enjoy coffee (for me) and tea (for him) and some breakfast.

At some stage we'll get moving, but right now it feels really good to just relax and keep each other company. :rrose:
