something for ME (not my kids)

A beautiful pair of dress pants that fit like they were made for me. They will go amazingly well with my cold shoulder sweater (which is slightly sparkly - great for our Christmas eve service, which I may be singing at... waiting to hear back from my parent's minister)

A new front door lock set which is shiny, shiny, shiny brass - but I have to take it back tomorrow because it doesn't fit. But I'm sure I'll find one that does fit that is just as shiny to go with my new navy blue front door.

the coolest stocking stuffers! I can't remember exactly what they're called, but they're like rubber-covered twist ties that come in all different lengths, and fluorescent colors as well as black. I remembered all the times I have needed an extra-long twist tie, and I tried twisting several regular ones together, and it didn't work very well. These things are great!

I bought a pair of Poi Balls for a young man who helps me around the house. Just this week, he took out all the pots from my bottom cabinets and repapered the bottoms of them before he put them back in and organized them (I cant bend very well with my hip problem so this was a huge thing for me). While he was here, he told me about the new fad, poi balls and he really wanted a set. Of course I had to get him them!

easygoingfemme 12-22-2016 08:11 PM

I did not buy this but I want to so badly it hurts. I have a pajama party in a couple of weeks and they would be so perfect. If not for the price tag.

Rockinonahigh 12-22-2016 10:01 PM

More meds, one for my infected toe the other for my eye...something got in it then scratched it up so now I'm putting ointment in it three times a day. The toe is because of a ingrown nail that has been a problem for a while, I tried to get an appointment with my Doctor a lot sooner but the new receptionist is a selfritious (?) snot who may be working his own exit papers being only a selected few got appointments that fall after noon on Friday cause anything that is after then means they wont close if anyone comes it to be seen, the DR.is only just finding this out as it doesnt happen often.

Late holiday shopping...

Let's just say I was really bad at Macy's today...Lol....

Gemme 12-22-2016 11:08 PM

I picked up some crafty things, some household items and some groceries. I got a humidifier! I returned an item as well.

Kelt 12-23-2016 10:18 AM

Wish me luck on acquiring snow melt. I used all but a little bit on last weeks storm and everyone has been sold out since. Not the end of the world if I don't find any, but I like to keep the front walk clear so no one can sue me. The downside of not being a renter.

The next snowfall is set for NOW. I see the first flakes drifting in... :anothersnowman:

Kelt 12-23-2016 12:29 PM

300lbs, loaded in by the guys loading the line of trucks.

Gas and a bagel

GeorgiaMa'am 12-23-2016 05:24 PM

A cherry pie and a chocolate pecan tart. (No tasting! They're for the festivities at my sister's house tomorrow.) Totally worth every last penny, because I didn't have to bake them.

I had to run out to buy a defrost timer for the refrigerator this morning. It died during the night, but is now working again.

Zero, zilch, zip, nil, nought, nothing!

Gemme 12-26-2016 02:40 PM

Typical Dec. 26th stuff!

I picked up some books from Savers (buy 4, get 1 free!) plus a chair for one of my stuffed animals, wrapping paper that I will actually use for crafting before next year rolls around, holiday napkins (again, for crafting), a green reindeer (because it's cute and glittery), a big tin of peppermint bark (I see you, Cinnamon!), an organic Christmas tea collection that I can use the boxes and container after the tea is gone and boxes of holiday cards for next year.

I am DONE! No more shopping until 2017!

Teddybear 12-26-2016 03:37 PM

4 shirts and a pair of dress shoes. Some how I forgot to pack this to come home for the funeral. Funny thing is I stopped at my door going I KNOW I'm missing something. Couldn't figure it out till I was trying to get dress today

Yay! I'm a bad influence! Or a good one...lol

I miss Savers! They have awesome stuff. I have a Jean jacket from there that was BRAND NEW and I got it for $3!

Hey! I got that too! :cheesy:

New tires for my car. I asked about a rim to get a full sized spare but apparently they're hard to come by for my car. Yay

Jesse 12-26-2016 04:36 PM

I couldn't handle the pressure and caved! I bought a 3 pack of 240 grit sanding belts.

I also ordered a brush that attaches to the hose on the vacuum cleaner for vacuuming pets with. :shocking:

I have worked with Sadie the past couple of years to get her comfortable with the noise of the vacuum as well as other loud noises so she is pretty much bomb proof these days. I am thinking she will be just fine, especially once she realizes it is a brush, because she loves to be brushed, but this will(hopefully) help to eliminate the undercoat shedding that she does year round.

Amazon! Or a car parts site. It's out there. Hard to come by doesn't mean not possible. I have a full sized spare because you never know. I'd rather be prepared and not need it than to need it and not be prepared and have my donut go flat before I could get it to the shop.

I lied. I will likely go to the movies before the end of the year. Maybe on the 31st. So my last purchase for the year will be a movie ticket. That's $9.25. I can deal with that.

Jesse 12-27-2016 04:20 PM

A 12 pk of Scott bath tissue

An 80 pk of tall kitchen trash bags ( I always buy bath tissue and trash bags in bulk because those are two things I hate to run out of AFTER the stores have closed for the day!)

A bunch of raw veggies, sweet potatoes, small watermelon, and a bag of navel oranges

A $20 co-pay at the Dr.s office

I think I'm good shopping wise until 2017 now. :)

Got this at Amazon and I'm going to check out Etsy to find some "in your face" femme jewelry. Still stinging a bit from feeling invisiable when I was at PRIDE Palm Springs a couple months ago.

I hit up the natural foods store for fresh pistachios, shelled sunflower seeds, pecans (for making yummy pecan butter), coconut sugar. I also bought two bottles of kombucha, one plain and the other with juiced greens in it.

Next was the grocery for fresh greens and veggies, more oranges, and some of the basics that I was running low on...sea salt, peppercorns, olive oil, & lemons.
