Getting my floor fixed and getting the scrap metal pile hauled off

JakeTulane 05-16-2011 05:33 PM

A phone call with My sister. (f)

Humbling Myself.

Words with meaning in the mail.

Getting some "red tape" straightened out.

A great email from "the" recruiter.

Laughter. (f)

Plan A or Plan B.

Accomplishing some goals on My list.

Formal business talk.

Closing a door.

Words with meaning, always.

Mister Bent 05-16-2011 05:40 PM

night time confessions...

ZzZzZZZzzz

Waking up throughout the night and hearing his snore over the phone and the silly little things he says in his sleep.

His phone calls to make sure I'm up and to tell me he loves me.

Kenna 05-18-2011 04:20 PM

WOOOO HOOO!!!! It's a happy day!!

Blade gave me news that made me VERY Happy!!
It seems HUMANS will be evicted until the baby Killdeers hatch....

Yayyyyyy Peepers!! Mark 1 point down for the "little guys"!! :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

I LOVE Killdeer birdies and their babies! It's about time someone steps up to protect them, their nests and their sweet little fuzzy babies!!
Now.... maybe I can send a reminder to my neighbor that just mows right over their nests every week (I really don't think he knows they are there.... the tiny little eggs blend right in!)
We as humans need to take more responsibility for protecting wildlife and our little pieces of Earth.
Killdeer birdies are so beautiful and VERY unique!! It would be a shame to loose them because we humans destroy their nests because we aren't aware they nest on the ground and we mow our lawns without looking out for them.

We saved baby peepers from storms last year, and returned them to their nests. This year, because our neighbor is mowing more than he did last year, we don't have as many nesting momma's around. :(

Look how they blend right in....

Andrew, Jr. 05-25-2011 10:01 AM

What brought me joy today:

*Love from my family, furkids, and friends;

*Acceptance;

*Feeling good about the new clothes I was given!

apretty 05-25-2011 10:06 AM

*i am pretty fucking grateful, today.

while getting dressed e slipped back in bed (and froze me!) and hugged me for a minute since i worked till 10pm and he was sleeping when i got home (he gets up around 4am) and i was still sleeping since i don't work until 11. being only half-awake, i still worried about his dress shirt getting wrinkled but savored the few minutes of hugs-time--i don't even remember him getting getting back up. so yeah, i am pretty fucking grateful in this moment.
