Mark 1 point down for the "little guys"!! :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: I LOVE Killdeer birdies and their babies! It's about time someone steps up to protect them, their nests and their sweet little fuzzy babies!! Now.... maybe I can send a reminder to my neighbor that just mows right over their nests every week (I really don't think he knows they are there.... the tiny little eggs blend right in!) We as humans need to take more responsibility for protecting wildlife and our little pieces of Earth. Killdeer birdies are so beautiful and VERY unique!! It would be a shame to loose them because we humans destroy their nests because we aren't aware they nest on the ground and we mow our lawns without looking out for them. We saved baby peepers from storms last year, and returned them to their nests. I picked her up after work, took her out to dinner, then took her out to a club. I know that doesn't sound romantic or very interesting but we went out onto the balcony and made out. Sweet, gentle kisses with affirmations of love totally made my day. :)

Seeing my sweet momma (bald from chemo) find a wig that totally rocked! She felt good about herself, that was priceless!!!

This weekend -
two delightful, handsome gentlemen... the truck race... the All Star Race... a sparkly #14 hat nachos and cheesy potatoes at 3AM... drinking morning coffee while sitting in a rocker on the front porch... a lovely afternoon cookout followed by wonderful conversation on the deck, under the trees... iced tea... laughter... This was one of those weekends that make you sad when they end... |

*i am pretty fucking grateful, today.
while getting dressed e slipped back in bed (and froze me!) and hugged me for a minute since i worked till 10pm and he was sleeping when i got home (he gets up around 4am) and i was still sleeping since i don't work until 11. being only half-awake, i still worried about his dress shirt getting wrinkled but savored the few minutes of hugs-time--i don't even remember him getting getting back up. so yeah, i am pretty fucking grateful in this moment. <3 |
