A meteorologist at a Los Angeles television station had to stop in the middle of her forecast Saturday because some viewers complained that her dress was too revealing.

A confused Liberte Chan stopped midsentence on KTLA as a hand from off-camera started dangling a cardigan sweater.

“What’s going on,” asked Chan, who was wearing a sparkling black dress. “You want me to put this on? Why? ’Cause it’s cold?”

“We’ve been getting a lot of emails,” said the voice belonging to the hand.

“What?” Chan screeched as she was helped into the gray sweater. “Really?”

“I look .... like .... a librarian now,” she said as she continued her forecast.

*If Ann Coulter can wear a sparkly cocktail dress to work, why can't this woman?

http://www.themainstreetmouse.com/wp...4/10/pearl.jpg

This is a pet peeve of mine! The weather women always wear highly inappropriate clothing here.

Dresses too tight, too short, that no longer fit, necklines way too low or that are cocktail dresses (like this one).

Just bizarre.

I always wonder out loud, do they not have anyone at the local stations to help them?

The GF then says: "What's wrong with it?"

Why yes, I am a member of the fashion police.

Have you ever wanted to lick your cat?

Well, humans wouldn't get hairballs. Can't you find these at upscale sex shops?

I don't believe ace would be able to look at the cat in the eye for the remainder of the day.

Missouri man paid 50k in interest on a 2500 payday loan.

He lost his car, his house, his dignity. This is immoral that our politicians allows this and some of these loan companies charge up to 700% interest.

Fucking criminal!

A retired and disabled Marine, Clark still has a hard time talking about the more than 5 years in which he says he struggled to pay $50,000 in interest which began with $2,500 of these loans, sometimes called "cash advances" or "check loans."

"It was hard for me to talk about it without breaking down in tears," Clark told ABC News. "If you’re a man you take care of your family. If I had another choice, I would have taken it. I wouldn’t have gotten in that situation at that time."

Clark's road to the payday loans began in 2003, when his wife slipped on ice and broke her ankle, which required surgery to restructure it. His wife, a retail employee, was unable to work for several months, Clark said, and was ineligible for benefits from her employer. With two daughters to help support through college, Clark couldn't pay his wife's medical bills, which he said totaled $26,000. He turned to his family and friends, but they didn't have the money to lend him.

I had a first date. Nice woman, well spoken BUT she is vegan (I had no idea) nothing wrong with that but I had salad to appease but my Butch den has a lot of Native American collections in it including fir and feathers, antlers and other collectables. I was told how she did not think it was right. SO, it is a last date and now I can go have my usual steak, chicken or pork chop for dinner knowing this will be the last date. She is an individual with her beliefs and I have mine. To each their own.

Thank you for posting about Edmond Lewis, Orema!! I usually love the gifts you randomly leave for us here, but this one is especially interesting. Lewis was a member of the 'Rome Amazons', which was a remarkable group of mostly lesbian sculptors led by Emma Stebbins who was the first American woman to win a major commission here- The Bethesda Fountain in Central Park. It was an extraordinary group which gathered at an unlikely time in our arts history. If I were an academic I would base all my work on this group. Lewis was particularly remarkable given the double prejudice she faced.
