Good Morning and Happy Sunday!
I've got my eye on the weather this morning. I'm also reminiscing. 30+ years ago I was a beautiful bride. I'm thinking about all my family that came together and those I'm missing. Sweet memories of that day. However, I'm leaving the memories of that relationship in the dust..lol I'm going to slow roast a brisket in the oven for dinner. I know all the grillers and smokers are rolling their eyes across Texas. Imagine? In the oven? LOL Have a great day, keep posting so I can peek inside your world :) |

Happy Sunday!
It's been a Rolling Stones music marathon while I have been in the kitchen. Chopping away at things that need to be used. I have also been chatting it up with numerous phone calls. I checked..I still have all my fingers! Sugar free lemon pudding..mouth watering already for that. Cherry sugar free jello with cottage added. Sliced cucumbers for spicy refrigerator pickles. Salsa with cottage cheese..new discovery, its delish. Almost macaroni free salad, more chopped veggies and hard boiled eggs than macaroni. Finished up the coleslaw mix..added poppyseed dressing. So I've used up all the cilantro, celery, carrot, onion, jalapeno and red pepper. Playing with an idea of creamy cilantro chicken for dinner. It is now afternoon. Gonna thread the sewing machine. Some projects there are a'brewing. Enjoy your day. #staysafe Movie time!! |
I was awake about the same time the sun came up. On purpose.
I'm not happy about that but I am happy with the work I had to do then. It turned out nicely. |

Up early again, on purpose. I liked greeting the sun! It's a lovely, dry and sunny day. Windy though.
I got some work done and then declared it BRUNCH TIME. I haven't had an official brunch in quite a while. I had scrambled eggs, turkey sausage patties, meatless Italian sausage crumbles, mini cinnamon rolls and big flaky biscuits with orange and Sauvignon preserves and oj to drink. I finished up my season of Zumbo's Just Desserts, the person I wanted to win did so and now I can tootle online for a bit before getting back to chores. Lovely day. Everything has been fairly easy . . .
I've stayed in bed all morning - and it's what I will do all day. I have a cooler packed with goodies next to my bed. I have a sweet kitty perched on the bed with me. I watched two episodes of Grey's Anatomy this morning, and I have a whole new season to binge on Netflix. Have a great week, everybody! |

Counting my blessings on a beautiful morning. I'm so blessed that in this world full of hatred and disgusting humans I have found some good people who show me so much love. In a way, the fact that my main vape and back up vape have both died almost on the same day, is a blessing. I was down to 1.5mgs nicotine anyway. So I really can stop without much discomfort. It just wasn't how I had planned to quit. But as of today, I have quit vaping and I haven't touched an actual cig in years. I'm lucky to have love in my life and a wonderful gf who shows me love daily. We're lucky to have this wonderful apartment we live in. We are very lucky to have enough food and enough money to cover our rent and bills. We are doing better than a lot of people are during this whole pandemic.

Having a good, if not easy, Sunday. Didn’t have to work today. Just finished cleaning the carpets with Phil’s help. Will relax with a few tokes while listening to music, then will food prep breakfast for the week while keeping an eye on Detroit, Brooklyn and Minneapolis.

Hope it's not too soon but it is Sunday and I am sitting here thinking.
So my question is: When people give blood at a blood bank does blood from a White person go in a container labeled "White" and blood from a POC go in a container labelled "POC"? And when a White person needs a blood transfusion do the Doctors go looking for a container labelled "White" and when a POC needs a transfusion do they go looking for a container labelled "POC"? And when a White Supremecist is lying in a hospital and would die without a blood transfusion, do they refuse blood 'cause there is no container label? |
It's been a delicious morning and afternoon so far. I got a full night's sleep and have been somewhat productive and it's a lovely day outside. So much so that I opened the windows a little and the light cross breeze and rattle of the blinds is very soothing.
