Mopsie 05-16-2013 07:56 AM

Morningstar I hope you have a quick recovery!

On the homefront ... I had a bit of a panic attack last night ... I found a grey eyelash! :thud:

Afternoon All!!

Well I'm hoping there will be no more excitement this weekend. I want to just veg and do NOTHING. I wonder if I could just get someone to drop me off on a secluded beach and leave me there with my cooler, beach chair and book??

A girl can dream can't she??

How is everyone?? Not much happening today at my girlie tent. But I am planning on doing nothing, unless I get excited about something..... thinking about painting a mermaid on Grace.... something exotic, naughty and sparkly... anyone got any extra glitter? mini mirrors??? toys?? faux fur??? Mardi Gras beads???

Humm... okay, gonna go check out my craft stash and see what I have to play with.... :jester:

Good morning (nearly afternoon) lofty people!

How is everyone? I hope you're enjoying your weekend...

I am moving a bit slowly - but that's a great thing about the weekend there is no particular schedule. I've got some laundry in and I am watching random tv shows. Later going to visit the feral kittens my friends rescued last night. Otherwise no plans...

Have a good one!

Good Morning Lofters!!

Geez, is there gonna be an end to personal disasters at BFP???

Well, I managed to lift something too heavy above my head, bad Bliss, Bad Bliss.... it felt like another heart attack. So no more of that. After some ibuprofen I'm doing better, and another lesson learned. "Don't do that"

I finished painting, drilling, and inserting screws into vertical supports. Today my goal is to get them all installed. I was pleased that my measurements were spot on. (so far) This weekend I decided to put every thing into a storage unit so I can concentrate on installing insulation, and everything will be out of the weather and my hair. THEN when I'm done with installing insulation, I will ONLY put in Grace what I love and need. PERIOD. All else is going. PERIOD. ...

NO the "roomie" (non-member) is not helping me. She says "no, it's your stuff". Pretty plain huh? Ya, had to stick that in there cause I'm cranky about this.

Oh, here's a funny story. She says pointing to my stack of handmade quilts, "You aren't taking all those are you?" Took me a nano second to respond, "Those quilts are mine." She says, "I spent alot of money on those."

Again a nanosecond later I respond, "The F*CK you did. My Grandmother made those quilts. She signed all of them with her embroidery."

She says pointing to the quilt with blocks of soft peach embroidered butterflies, "This one is mine."

Nanosecond Nana responds, "NO F*cking way, my Grandmother made all these quilts... you have your own quilts, you have your own Grandma quilts, these are ALL MINE." I am visualizing WWIII building....

She finally says, "OH."

Case closed.

So anyhoo, now that the quilt question is settled, I'm back to getting ready to make some coffee and get going on my projects. Grace needs a shower to remove the green mold and dirt, I have decided not to bring my wool rugs. Too hard to clean, and WAY too heavy to lift. So gonna do throw rugs instead.

I should start a blog. I am quite the chatterbox today.

I'm in NW Florida, Gulf Coast. The lure of coffee is calling me, toodles!!!

Hey Dean Thoreau, was stunned to read about your daughter. Blessings your way !!

Hey Mopsie!

Where is everyone!!! Hope you are feeling better today Ms Star xoxo !!!

Licious 05-20-2013 05:52 PM

Hi Everyone!

Well, having resolved some of my health issues, partially, I am back around and trying to get in the loop as well.

First of all:

Dean, congrats.

Morningstar, how dare you be sick? Tsk, that will never do. Get well soon, lady!

Bliss, watch what you lift, not worth breaking the body.

I have had two shoulder surgeries, each one, rotator... both shoulders seem to work fine for the most part, but if I grab all the groceries at once I strain one, then have to ice it and sweat it out as to whether another rotator cuff surgery or not.

So far not, but I am lifting tiny loads for now. Make two trips to the car I have learned, not a big deal really.

Not much going on here on the Central Coast (Cali)... just enjoying a lovely and rather warm spring, helping my elderly landlord (my part time gig) and kicking it during my down time.

Health issues pesky but I am working on it, and keeping eye out for alternative treatments.

Great to see you all, will pop back in soon.

DMW 05-20-2013 06:55 PM

Dang! You know what is interesting...I was just wondering about how you were doin not long ago Morningstar. That is odd. I don't get to spend much time on here. But, I do care. I can't keep up. I am glad that the infection is gone. That isn't something to mess with. Poor you and Dutch.

Seems like we all have our own battles. Try and take care everybody.

And hello Licious! And everyone else.

Sweet Bliss 05-20-2013 07:31 PM

Can I just say, a four hour nap in the middle of the afternoon is superb.

Oh, wrong thread, :jester:

Feel better, however, now I'm a day behind my plans. I did get my storage unit however. Whoo hooo!!! hope to be moving all my junk in tomorrow!!

:flyingweed:

Galahad 05-20-2013 08:28 PM

I'm relieved to see that Morningstar is through with the infection and everyone else is working toward 100 percent. Me too. Have a great week Lofters.

Sweet Bliss 05-24-2013 09:58 AM

Good morning Peeps and Peepers!!

Wonderful news Morning Star!! Soon you will be truckin' n trucking!!
You will be happy to get back to your home and routine, I know I can't sit still either. Gotta do something creative or go bye bye...

Progress for me is picking up. Am loading up storage unit so I can move around in Grace easier to put in insulation. Will be great to not worry about things getting wet in the rain and so on. So am planning to spend lots of time getting ready to roll.

So anyhoo I'm late getting my day going so will chat later maybe.

Licious 05-24-2013 10:44 PM

Hey Lofters,

Glad you are recovering Morning Star. I also had been thinking of you lately as DMW was, about a month ago.

Just popping in to "peek", things quiet here, fighting the cold going around, don't want it, cuddling with my favorite kitty and watching some shows.

Be well Lovely and Handsome Lofters...

Holey Cowabunga.... you are slaying me here....

Okay, got a truck load of stuff taken to Goodwill yesterday. Organized the crap in storage. Where did I get all this stuff?? Good grief. I'm only taking stuff I love and things that support my life/lifestyle, and nothing ELSE, except pet stuff and pets.

There is more stuff I found in the house.... again I ask you... where did I get all this stuff???

Roomie: "wtf are you doing? you could have gotten $xx.xx for that "_____"

Me: "rolling eyes and giving the "Icouldgiveashit" look.

So? The money is already gone, I spent it, I'm not going to make myself sick schleping crap to make a couple of bucks. Instead of complaining to me about my lack of greed and averice, why don't you clean out the freaking garage no one can walk in except the cats? You do it your way, I'll do it mine.

*Frank Sinatra belting it out in the background of my home movie.... :fart:

So how are my favorite peeps??? Anyone else survive 3 days of drunk/texting/cell phone talkin drivers??

Woo hoo......... finally, a day of rest.

... how about a garage sale?? .... lol

morning loft dwellers and all the peekers

hope you had a nice weekend...
as for me ..... no

ended up going to the ER again late last nite
the pain in my shoulders / collar bone was soo soo bad i just couldnt handle it anymore... i havn't been able to do anything for myself.. and its been getting frustrating to the point of tears......i mean i could not do anything with my arms almost the pain was unbelievable .. anyways
it got to the point where it was so painful to to walk acros the room to the bathroom,i was soo out of breath from the pain, dutch had to practically dress me last night when we went to the ER. enough was enough... i just couldnt take it anymore.
soo 2 shots in my hip.. and getting some meds filled today .. it felt so much better the pain has eased off a bunch....i was even able to wash my hair myself this morning.
right now its amazing how well that stuff works. no pain at all in my arms.
all my life i been to use to taking care of myself , never depending on anyone. this humbles me.

Sweet Bliss 05-28-2013 11:41 AM

Garage sale you say???

Well, let's see.... NO. I would bore you with WHY, but I like ya'll too much.

So that takes us back to NO.

So despite excruciating pain, you and I are the only ones who survived the weekend Ms Star??? Everyone else had so much fun they can't make their way to the puter??? Dang. I missed all the fun.

Well, I have been getting little to NO sleep, got up at 4:00 am. By 7:00am I was sleeping like a baby on the couch... it was heaven. Up at 11:30. This is not how I imagined my day would go. But here I am. Alive and well. So I'm happy.

It's another beautiful day in the hood, birds singing, pelicans fishing, ocean breathing, palm and other trees swaying in the breezes.... life is perfect.

After I eat I shall venture outside to give Grace a bath. Only one side has green mold... guess which one? I'll give you a hint, it's pointing to Canada. Okie dokie, gonna get going and clean up Grace.... then I'm gonna start screwing.... am talking about the vertical supports...

Hello all!

Popping my head back in after too long away.

My school year ended a few weeks back. Exams were stressful but I survived. Got all my courses - - yeehaw!!!

Have moved out of my student digs and am back at my little home in the country.
This week I'm training for a possible job. If all goes well I'll make some good money - well, above minimum wage! Best of all it is interesting, with a diverse & interesting crew, and it dovetails with what I am studying. Keeping my fingers crossed.

No luck on the romance department - someday soon, I hope.

Morningstar - sorry to hear about your hospital visits lately. Glad you are feeling better today! You are lucky to have your fine butch there to help you. I am also used to doing everything for myself - so I completely understand you there.

Bliss - your room-mate sounds like a real winner! Good luck with Grace - but be careful - we don't want you to injure yourself.

Maybe you and I should have a chat with Cupid and see what's up with our relationship status or lack there of! Lol

hi loft folks,

morningstar daughter was in very bad accident she was passenger in car that got broadsided by a bus...she was the one most seriously injured...thankfully her 2 kids (my grands) were physically ok, emotionally the grands are still a bit shaken up. after 2 weeks in hospital, rods in leg, fractured skull, a bunch of stitches...and now 12 weeks unable to work,,she is doing good and healing well...and has been allowed to go back to work part time with limitations....

i moved to nj in november to be able to check in on my mom daily..since she needs a bit more assistance and help..so i sort of commute a lot between pa and nj.....so if anyone is in jersey shore area sure would love to make some friends in the area.
The weekend was fun, took the grand kids bicycling....the three yr old biked 2 miles...beleive it or not on her looks like a bike but is more of a trike that looks cool.....(if u dont pedal it doesnt go) and then the 7 yr old (on regular 2 wheeler)did 3 miles with me....after that i took them for giant icecream sundaes...they were so proud of their bike riding, and i must say...the 3 yr old (dean jr) she was just amazing , pedaling non stop on dirt path is not easy...

Popping my head in here

The wife and I spent the weekend in Pensacola, FL. We didn't know it was Gay Pride weekend until we were in route. So we didn't really do any pride events. We stayed with her BFF in a cozy home just outside of Pensacola and had an alcohol induced weekend.

Albeit hungover on Sunday, said BFF's mom came over and made me homemade southern fried chicken (her fried chicken is legendary) with summer squash and potato salad. OMG - YUMMY!

Hope everyone has a wonderful week!

How about you go on tour, like a Rock Band?

hey, how about you rent a tour bus, fill it with single femmes, and go on the road all over the US visiting single Butches..... humm, I wonder how much you could charge for that..... If everyone pitched in for the ride/gas, paid their own meals/lodging.... it would be one huge Rockin' Femme Party!!!

I double checked before I posted and after.
