My girl and me measured my hands at 2 am in the morning... they came in at 7.75 inches! That's hilarious... in 43 years I have never measured my hands! What fun... LoL. :)

Smiling Today...
Today was filled with so many conversations with people who mean so much to me. A conversation on the telephone....a conversation on Skype....a conversation in person with an old friend from high school that stopped in tonight. So what made me smile today? Friendship and the blessings that I receive as a result of those relationships. I hope that I am able to light their lives as they have mine.

- A co-worker telling me they appreciate all my help the last few weeks and can count on me for anything.
- Passing the pastries left in front of my cubical at work and grabbing one of my apples instead. - Seeing my 2 kitties greet me at the door when I come home from work. - Having a phone conversation with my dad and stepmom earlier and them always saying "I love you" before they hang up. |

Talking with my new coworker that I am now training and finding out he has a husband, lived in and got his law degree from Oklaholma University, his husband is ordained in the Catholic Church and my coworker asked me to have lunch with him later this week. I am so looking forward to this chat. Life is always interesting and full of interesting people.

My old shredder died a while ago, so a bunch of stuff piled up until I found the shredder I wanted today. And then I shredded.
Shredding is rather cathartic. |

on friday with pumbaa and quinn, [basenji] dogs i've known as friends through a former /steady dog sitting account. they were very rascally sighthounds; now, mellowed seniors, i'm so happy to be seeing the boys [and fantastic parents!]. it's been ten years since i've seen the dogs, but much less for their hoomans.

smiling.. closing doors, opening new ones, and still standing. contemplating a decision to move up the mountain into Hendersonville, maybe Chimney Rock, somewhere around there anyways. currently looking at places, hotels for a new job, etc... seeing what's out there. i've always ran away up into those mountains for renewal of spirit, so it's damn fitting that there is where the next chapter could begin. another bonus besides the stunning scenery, is that its only 45 minutes from my family. smiling.. because for a while now, i wasn't sure i was gonna make it out intact, in fact, somedays, i'm still not sure. but this is a fine start. :) |
