It's 4:30PM and 93 degrees out here in Eastern Washington. Just an hour left before the temperature begins to drop. We'll be down into the 80's by 9PM and from there it's all cool and increasingly cooler temperatures until around 6 tomorrow morning. I sure hope Fall comes early this year.

Today it was strangely cool. It's about 70*, at the moment. But another heat wave is on the way, by Sunday. I agree, I think Fall will come early. Maybe by late August? Low tonight: 57* Tomorrow maybe 80*. By Sunday, the heat wave continues.... (lol, or not). |
Weather forecast looking good. If predictions are correct high today will be 89, and even then only hold there for about an hour.
|
88 degrees and sunny
|
I might need to locate an ark. Starting tonight, there will be days of rain ahead.

Well as you can see it is 2:40 am. My boy 🐶 woke me up terrified. We are having a good ole thunderstorm. Unless I slept threw the worst of it, it wasn't to bad, but he thought so.
|
It is 81 and sunny right now. It was raining this morning and there are supposed to be storms tonight.

I'm happy for the grass. It's been doing a great impersonation of hay since the beginning of the month. |
Not one.
Not two. But three! Count it. Triple digits!! its hard to dress for this occasion(s). |
Still too damned hot here!
It's not so much the daytime temperatures, which, whilst warm, are tolerable even by my standards (up to the mid 20's Celsius now, down from nearly 30 for a while) , it's the night temperatures, which have been in the mid-high teens for a while now. At the weekend, I was thinking about going to the gym this morning, but I've woken up feeling too poorly rested to make this a sensible thing to do. How I miss the "three warm sunny days in a row"* summers that we used to get so often! * Our summers were seldom THAT bad, but it was a bit of a running joke with us Brits. |

Lovely weather compared to being in California desert Hell last year! |

The weather in paradise
Well...
On coming home after running a few errands yesterday afternoon, I had noticed that it had gotten a little too warm in the apartment (must have been over 75, perhaps even 80), and turned on the Dyson (which I only use for about a month during the summer time, and have had for a couple of years); I really like this machine. It has a small remote to change the speed, and also rotate the Dyson - Dyson's a genius, works much better than a fan, and actually generates cool air, and I love the donut shape. Of course, nights are cool and wonderful to sleep in without a fan; so, really, I have little to complain about. My heart goes out to all those who are suffering from the heat in sweltering +90 weather in the States (please do take care, and hydrate appropriately); especially to all those in Japan who have record heat waves of around 105+... For myself, considering being a senior and during the summer, I drink quite a bit of carbonated water, which I make myself using my SodaStream, flavoured with Pink Grapefruit :) Global warming is getting to dangerous levels... and will most likely worsen in time. And, I guess that (maybe) nixes my plan to move to Ontario... which is also beginning to show intemperate climate change... oh well... |
it's mild..watching 3 baby squirrels outside my window...such cuteness!
|
It's 81 degrees and sunny with rain off and on
|
73 degrees and raining
|
It looks like the rain has passed for a couple of days. I am a bit disappointed, if I may say so. I planned on doing laundry all day so that would have been nice. It'll be back on Saturday, though.

Looks like it is going to be a beautiful day. The high will be in the mid-70's with a chance of a short shower early afternoon.
|
Leaning into the late morning, early afternoon, I noticed today that the heat wave is slowly moving on. The sun sets a titch earlier, the sunrise comes a bit later, but most of all, it's still blue skies for miles and miles.
High's (until next weekend): upper 80's to upper 90's Lows.... upper 50's to upper 60's. Outdoor pool weather is nearly over, but I'm enjoying the sunshine. |

|
81 degrees and sunny. It will get humid again starting Wednesday.
|
It is chilly tonight- good snuggling weather. Tomorrow's high looks to be around 80 degrees. Perfect.
|
Yesterday it was reported by the airport that it was 101*, but it was hotter, I think. Today, it was in the upper 90s. Humidity index is up, and the smoke from the forest fires over in Idaho have been infiltrating our area because it has no where to go other than down the Columbia gorge. We have had orange skies, all day.... and lots of smoke.
Hopefully by Thursday and Friday, maybe an big storm will roll in from the ocean and cool things off (highs near the 70s, lows near mid 50s). Low tonight will be close to 64*. |
