Update: I sent her a reaction gif (the one of Lauren Conrad going "WHOA!") and she sent me a kissy face back, so basically we're getting married.

Seeing my youngest grandson today. He's the happiest baby I've ever known and I've worked with a lot of them that's for sure. My daughter-in law is a very good mother. She doesn't mind help but she doesn't resent having to care for him, doesn't leave him with sitters whenever possible so she can run around acting like she's 16 and child free all over again. Since she's so responsible I can relax and just enjoy seeing him, all the perks of motherhood without the hard work. Being a grandmother is so fun!

It's about an 80 mile round trip - I do not mind! I finally found a particular model chainsaw IN STOCK I have been trying to locate for weeks. Already paid for it online to ensure they will hold it (last one) for me. I will be driving to pick it up in store today. Doing without is holding me back from outdoor accomplishments. I am slowly cleaning up the mess I left for 1.5 years when I could not do anything much at all because of a back injury. I am still being extremely cautious, taking it very slow and easy. I feel so fortunate to have found this particular chainsaw. This damn virus has put everything on back order.

*doing the happy dance*

Getting scented snail mail...... definitely put a huge smile on my face.(f)

Smiling..

I'm still smiling about the care package I brought home from Mom. You know, she filled my purse up with Dove chocolates. Sent me home with a cutting of mint,so I can grow my own for my drinking water. A lemonade Yankee candle. ..and..oh so many other goodies.

Best of all, to hear Ms Jelly purr! Warms my heart and makes me smile.

May sound silly but....

My credit score popped up almost 70 points. I’ve been consciously working on it. Great to see the results!

Came across a video of my Mom playing the piano. She was a concert pianist and up until Alzheimer's struck, she still practiced 4 hours a day. While she can still play, she will only do so now after several requests. She is phenomenal and recorded her last album when she was 76.

Starfish, may I recommend the documentary Alive Insidethat might make you smile as well.

(2014) Dan Cohen, founder of the nonprofit organization Music & Memory, fights against a broken healthcare system to demonstrate music's ability to combat memory loss and restore a deep sense of self to those suffering from it. If you have an aging parent or partner with memory lost this may be of special interests to you. I found it fascinating what they could accomplish with music therapy vs pharmaceuticals. This was a very moving documentary and I can't recommend it enough

Along the same lines as Starfish......

My elderly Alzheimer’s client started randomly singing a song today that I didn’t recognize. I googled the lyrics and found out it was Doris Day (Tea for Two)
I played other songs and she knew the words to so many of them! It was nice to hear her belt it out. It’s funny how the mind works and what lingers.

Thank you, thank you. I don't know how to send private messages to members' CP, so here you go. Excellent suggestion.
