Y'all, I went to the BFP post office today to pick up our mail and the lady there had a red package for me that they apparently accidentally put in a different box from back in MAY.

It was the spring projects that you guys apparently sent to us!!!!!! I was overjoyed!!!! So many gorgeous pieces of art and I can't freaking WAIT to get them all hung up all over the hallway!!
Just wanted to say a HUGE Thank You to everyone who made projects. It was super thoughtful!! And thank you to Nanners for mailing them to us!!! Jack was even excited to see what everyone made!!

No official PenPal, Scrapbookers, Post Card Artists and Other Creative Types Planet thread art gallery, but that's an idea.

We have been collectively, and individually, sending a project piece to Medusa and Jackhammer. nanners also framed and put together a great collage of items which Medusa was thrilled to get.

They display them in their home.

We do need a gallery!!! Ill get on that tonight! ;)

Love the gallery idea.

Once we have one, please add only photos of your own work. If you want to post another person's work, even if it was sent to you as part of project and you are acknowledging them as the artist, you must obtain permission from that person prior to posting their work.

The gallery is up and available to load up photos!

And thank you, Jennifer, for the reminder to respect the artist by asking for permission to post their work!

Ouch , busted ribs hurt with every breath. I'd like to wait a bit longer and we are already at that limit. Hopefully, some of the regulars can make it to the site and the project. Hope cutting it off at 15 sounds better than limitless.

Sept 13th sounds okay to me. I'll have a show to get ready for-if I haven't screwed up by not being on top of running set-up on it, sigh... But I think it's doable. I've got-or will shortly have-most of what I need in supplies for this, so I think it will be good. Ready to get started!

Altered Matchbox Project-? for Participants
 

I've got a good idea what I'm doing for this, but I want to be sure of something before I get started.

Does anyone on the list have NEGATIVE feelings about bugs. PLEASE post here and let me know asap, okay? I dont want to be the cause of anyone freaking out. This is, after all, suppost to be fun. Not cause for a heart attack. Also, pin or pendant? Which? For anyone who wears a suit from time to time, Let me know if you wear lapel pins.

The sooner y'all can let me know this stuff, the better.

So I guess that means no live bugs, even the be-jeweled kind on a little leash? Well darn.....this was starting to get interesting.

On another note, I know the idea of "themed" or "wearable" matchbox art was tossed around but I never saw that it had to be something we could wear? My idea would certainly not be wearable. Let me know if this is a requirement.

I started the project on Tuesday and am grinning.....:byebye: I bought some little paper matchboxes at Smart & Final to get me started...:byebye:

Living in a matchbox, I had a pet caterpillar when I was a very young tyke/dyke....I was 4, and I loved my wooly buddy...for as long as I could. I always guessed my Mom set it free cuz one day...no more fuzzzy !

Two requirements..
1. Altered Matchboxes Theme for everyone on the list~Whatever you can come up with..not tooooooo big . We are a diverse community with lots of ideas.

2. Sent to Wrangler by due date.

No bugs for me either. I am not afraid of them...I just prefer not to have them in art for myself.
