The free spirits of my 5th and 6th grade Sunday School class. They light up my world everytime I teach them. My inner child is always happy when she sees them.
Today, flying monkeys, a stuffed hen with a baker's dozen chicks, and a dancing cow. These made up our conversation about todays lesson on sharing funny enough.. Of course they ended up being an army with the flying monkeys in the front a baby chick hanging onto each ear.. hmmmm.. not sure now how that had anything to do with sharing.. but was darn adorable.. Next time I see them is Easter. YEAH!! Peeps! |

Waking up in my king sized bed and having 1 foot of bed, and 1/4 pillow to myself.
My 7 pound baby takes up more room than a great dane. She always makes me smile though...i love her so much. And today for the first time in a long time...i woke up before she did....was fun waking HER up for a change. lol. |

smiling. mama's coming over later on today.. spending time with her always makes me smile. reaffirming converstaions this morning that included a huge bathtub. spending time on the phone with my sistah and best friend- kick ass convo! a lovley conversation about art and anticipating the lovely paintings hanging in our homes. and always lately, a game plan is making me smile. |

Waiting for traffice to slow so i could pull out on Hwy 68..hearing the rumbling thunder of straight pipes..seeing in the distance a most awe inspiring Candy Apple Red Sporster...it turned in next to me and as it passed it had the most gorgeous Butch mounted on it. Now that made me not only smile but tingle as well.

My students. I can't change their world in a short class period, nor can I become a parent to all of them. Yet some days, I leave smiling because despite widely different backgrounds and experiences, I think I reached some today. Just maybe, they might remember me as a good teacher.

I pay it foreward all the time. I was shocked when going thru a gas station, and some guy handed me his receipt. I had no idea of why he did it. He told me he bought a free car wash, a deluxe, and had no time to have his car washed. He thought I was a car kinda guy, so he gave it to me. I was so happy. |

WHAT. A. DAY!!! You know how You can have a ridiculously challenging day ~ feeling overwhelmed and wondering if You might be in over Your head ~ and realize it's one of the better days of Your LIFE? That's the way I feel today about my new opportunity at the children's hospital! WOW! It's going to be an amazing journey!

A customer, when I asked him to sign for his purchase, he said "Well can I sign your name?"
I smiled and said "Your name preferably, it's your company making the purchase...Unless you want to split your paycheck with me? I'm sure you make more than I do!" And he grinned at me and said "Hell, I make enough to cover both of us, sure honey!" Customers that can flirt and not make me super uncomfortable make me :) I love my regulars! |
