I received a little bit of scary news today. I'm sure it will all be fine, but sometimes we all need a little light and this thread has been so empowering and so inspirational to so many, including myself.

I am lighting this candle for My friend Clinton "Billy" Lewis who was murdered earlier this month. Billy (as his friends called him) was the owner of Club Chill and was a gay activist in our community. He was a tenderhearted person who would as they say "give you the shirt off his back." As the investigation has progressed it appears he was murdered by a 20 year old man who was not a "regular" at the club. This man is being held in jail without bail on a second degree murder charge. Billy apparently was shot while he slept. They are not deeming this a hate crime because Billy knew this person. He was a true spirit to the community and would do and did anything he could when it came to gay rights. May his soul find peace now. http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/o...ne/candles.jpg |
