Nanners, any update on when you are sending me the puzzle project? :)

okieblu 08-09-2014 04:31 PM

The matchboxes have found a new home and are on their way.

candy_coated_bitch 08-09-2014 05:51 PM

I need to bow out of the matchbox project. I'm sorry. My personal life just got crazy difficult, and I don't want to commit to something that I won't be able to do.

Gemme 08-09-2014 06:00 PM

Life does have a way of getting IN the way, doesn't it? Take care of yourself!

My English boxes arrived! I popped them open and will begin the artistry very soon.

nycfem, I truly owe you an apology...things have been overwhelming for me lately. I am off work for a couple weeks due to a broken heel bone, and have been on the couch for the last 6 days on painkillers. It's getting tolerable with the "boot" and crutches now, so I'll be able to finish it next week. I sincerely apologize for the lateness...but look forward to sending it off by the end of the week.

I'm really sorry to hear that. Hope whatever is making life crazy difficult for you, improves real soon. Good luck

Just a little heads up I *intend* to have my matchboxes in on time. Haven't missed a deadline yet. However, I had to order mine as I needed a special size (I'm high maintenance that way) and they have yet to arrive. :readfineprint: Maybe I should have ordered from overseas like Gemme.....*sheesh*!

Katniss~~

Riiiiight???

Baker Ross is awesome.

I was super surprised and happy to find them in my mail. They said the boxes would arrive between Aug. 18th and Sept. 4th. Yikes. I was expecting some early mornings and late nights in September but now I can take my time.

I've already got at least one layer of paint on all the sides of every piece.

Happy!

I know that CCB pulled out. Did anyone else?

Katniss 08-29-2014 09:19 AM

So....I still do not have my matchboxes. The company charged me but now seems to have trouble answering my e-mails on when they will arrive. I really am not sure what to do at this point. I need that particular size, they are paid for, but unless they arrive by next week I will miss the deadline. I would still like to send them out as I have the other materials however I don't want to guarantee anything if the company falls through on the shipment. To be fair maybe I should be taken off the list and if/when my matchboxes arrive I plan to do them and can ship individually if people still want them.

Katniss~~ :bigcry:

Gemme 08-29-2014 07:29 PM

That stinks, Katniss!

I'm seriously behind, and yes, I will be late. Mailing costs are going to be more than I thought, and I STILL dont have any finished. Also, the jewelry/chotchkies wont be ready, so all anyone will be getting are just the altered matchboxes. I should know not to get so ambitious in mediums I have no real experiance with. I am keeping the list of peoples names though, and hopefully when I do other projects I can include a few peoples jewelry/whatever each time.

Sooo, I dont know if I should be off the list or not, because of being late. Working as quickly as I can to get these finished.

Gemme 09-02-2014 05:51 PM

Oki, I would put my .02 in for you to send what you do have completed to be on time. I've been a bit behind myself once or twice but this project is going to be a little more convoluted in terms of mailing for Tommi due to the size and delicacy of the projects.

Your idea of sending the complicated pieces out to individuals as time goes by is a good one, I think.

I myself am a little behind due to not being able to sit and work on the pieces for almost two weeks now but I'll still be able to send my work out on Saturday the 13th as scheduled.

Is everyone else doing okay?

I will be finished on time. And, will have 15 cute little boxes!

Just need to fill with just the right romantic treasures. :awww:
( you know me...all about the romance)

clay 09-02-2014 09:35 PM

I will be able to get mine in mail by the 13th of Sept.
Thanks everyone. I just know we will all get some wonderful things...which I will cherish each & everyone!!

amiyesiam 09-02-2014 10:02 PM

Mine are done. They will go out this friday.

deb0670 09-02-2014 11:33 PM

You only need 14 boxes and then only 13 if you don't want one back for yourself

See Tommi's last post for the participants.

deb, 3 days is not a lot of time to do this project and get it out on time for everyone. I wish you luck.

Katniss 09-03-2014 06:55 AM

I still haven't received the matchboxes I ordered and have decided to protest the vendor as I used PayPal for the transaction. I ordered them back on July 27 so this is ridiculous!

However, in the spirit of "let no good project go unfinished," I went and got jewelry boxes that are close to the size I needed. It's a rush and not what I envisioned but I will have mine out and ready to go by Sept. 13th.

thanks Gemme!

I always make extra!

I am a procrastinator-- and haven't started mine yet. I will.... and they'll be fantastic when done!!

:|

Gemme 09-03-2014 07:00 PM

That's the spirit, ahk! Positive thinking.

okieblu 09-07-2014 12:38 AM

Please take me off the list.

okieblu 09-07-2014 03:26 AM

I will be sending mine out as and when I can. I'll send what I have done, and the $5 to you Tommi by the 13th, but please do not wait on me.

Sorry to hear that you'd like to be removed from the list, okie. Am I correct in interpreting this as you have a some boxes done and will send those, but you have not completed all of the boxes? If so, please let us know who would be receiving a box so those people can make sure to include one for you. It's only fair; we agreed to exchange a box for a box. So if you do send some, then you should receive some back!

Or do you mean that you will send all of your boxes out to Tommi without the jewelry you were designing?

There will be some of the-finished-boxes, minus jewelry/pretties. Those will follow later. And that's IF I can get any done by the deadline to send out. Right now I'm trying to not end up in the hospital--again. I've spent more time in the hospital than out of it this year.

Yeah, I'll post a list of people's boxes I'm sending out. As soon as I know...

Tommi 09-08-2014 10:32 AM

Matchbox doo da

Okieblu
Gee whiz this was to be a fun one you were enjoying, and sharing bugs no bugs.

Sorry to hear you are ailing, and understand if more time is needed. Or you just want to send the boxes, whatever, just enjoy .

Kaijira and I finished ours yesterday. Should have taken pictures. she is tidy and organized, everything neat and orderly.

My side of the table looked like a colorful kindergarten explosion. We balance each other somehow, and each smile as we enjoy these projects. And she makes snacks. :)

ahk 09-10-2014 02:16 PM

So how many boxes do we need to have done since there was a few drop outs?

Gemme 09-10-2014 08:27 PM

13 if you want one of yours back.

12 if you don't.

nycfem 09-10-2014 08:50 PM

Nanners, any word on my puzzle project?

ahk 09-11-2014 11:58 AM

I'm done with my pieces of fun.
They'll go in the mail tomorrow.
Tommi has been notified.

nanners 09-12-2014 04:17 AM

nycfem, I will give you a call this weekend so we can talk. I am still working on it, need one more thing, then I'm done.

I forgot okie said that there were some people who would receive boxes, in which case another box would be needed.

So, that means maybe 12 or maybe 13.

okie, maybe those folks who are going to receive a box from you should be notified now, since our deadline is around the corner.

candy_coated_bitch 09-12-2014 06:04 AM

I'm not even in this project and Gemme is confusing me. Actually, maybe okie started it.

Katniss 09-12-2014 09:07 AM

I'm sending Okie a box regardless of if I get one in return. These suckers were made with peace and love and damnit I intend to spread some peace and love. :praying:
Also, Candy, I know you have a lot going on and things are in flux with you but if you send me an address where you can get them I will be happy to send yours too or even hold it for a better time.

Katniss~~ All about peace and love, even if I have to get all stern about it. :candle:

ahk 09-12-2014 09:18 AM

I sent out 12--

If I receive 1 from Okie-- I will individually send one to Okie personally.

okieblu 09-12-2014 01:03 PM

My appologes for the confustion. I'm not going to have any ready to mail out on the dealine. BUT I will be getting these out to people a few at a time, WITH the goodies included, as I can. If you want to send me a box, that would be lovely, but it's okay if you dont.

deb0670 09-12-2014 02:46 PM

I sent out my package to Tommi yesterday
