Whoever thought there was a name for what I do when in classes and meetings? Cool.

I did a ZenTangle ~ started on it yesterday and finished it this morning......there's a picture of it in my Gallery......

It IS very calming!

Visited today Kiteya, a Japanese store which had offered a groupon (or a bloomspot coupon), in Soho (Broom Street). Charming shop, where I got hand made Japanese origami paper, a book on how to use textiles to wrap Japanese style, and a little black silk zipped pouch for lipstick and sundries. Owners really charming too, they gave me a little gift for having visited! (Japanese incense wrapped in silk). They have a nice selection of Japanese hand made paper.

Elle*, who is almost ready to start the risky project.

This is definitely the type of store I could go bonkers in. How lovely!

And thank you, Diva, for the link!

femmennoir 05-30-2011 05:11 AM

Thank you, Diva, for posting the link! I hate to say I don't know how to post links! However, my project is coming along, I have almost all the materials, and although the technique will be risky for me, I kept the previous aborted theme of "wet dreams"! My visit to Kiteya inspired some of the steps I will take! Enough said!

So suddenly I was inspired and made the prototype for my "Risk", and liked it, and now I have made three of them! Coming along nicely, with actually two new (for me) techniques! I will be early!

I hope to work on and finish my risk project on my days off!

femmennoir 06-02-2011 04:42 AM

un oubli!

I...hum....just realized that I did not include the $ in the envelope! It will be in the mail today! By the way, Jennifer, the Femme Tea on June 11th is at Francia, the lovely vegan Korean Tea House on the UES, 2:30pm....Just sayin'...

Elle*, very contrite

Hey Y'all.....I have a question.......

Several of us have participated in our projects for a while now. How do You store them? At first, I was putting them in a photo box....since outgrown!

Ideas?

Gemme 06-03-2011 09:30 PM

I'm still working on a good system for that. Right now, I have some in the original mailers/packaging and tucked away in my footlocker or a plastic tub. Some are semi-loose in the plastic boxes and tubs and some are just kinda sitting around, waiting for me to figure out what the Hell to do with them.

There are a few pieces that I would like to showcase and plan on either putting them in cases and hanging the decorative cases and/or using open boxes and blocks mounted on the wall and tucking the project inside.

amiyesiam 06-03-2011 10:00 PM

when my basket of projects got full
I pulled out my absolute favorites and put them in an album
and am now filling up the basket again!

Pixie 06-03-2011 10:20 PM

I kinda do what Gemme does. I have a under the bed tub (with wheels) and have them in there organized by the round in their package :D

I am just keeping them in a so unglamorous, large, mailing box. It works for now. :)

femmennoir 06-03-2011 10:40 PM

I was thinking of a scrapbook for the projects, but of course I just have one batch!

Diva 06-03-2011 11:34 PM

I think what I might do is get more plastic notebook sleeves and keep them in that....
