It was beautiful here today! The wind is blowing now this evening and it’s nice and cool and feels amazing. One more month of this then it’s into the snow…
|
By God, it's supposed to be Winter. We're expecting temps around 60 F later this week. Spring, Spring, go away, come back in a far future day. I do not like Spring/Summer, and want for Fall.
|
weather was definitely of the 4 seasons type yesterday: skiff of snow, sleet, dense rain, lots of gusty wind, sunshine, thunderstorm activity (lightening strikes) and rainbows. Cherry blossoms will be abundant by next week.
Lows: 30s High today: upper 40s? By the weekend: 60s. We've had some spectacular sunrises and sunsets, though, especially when a person can see all the volcanoes topped by snow. Truly Beautiful. |
Fall is my favy also. Summer, heck no! Spring, okay exceot when... our tornado sirens are set to go off for tornadoes.. and apparently.... for high winds. Who needs a wind warning and at 4am?!?! If you're already outside, you know it's windy! If you're inside and awake at 4am, you can hear that it's windy! So, let the rest of us sleep! :seeingstars:

59 and cloudy!
|
four days ahead of glorious weather: mid to upper 60s.
Lows probably still in the upper 30s, low 40s. <<<<<<---- washing windows this weekend, and airing out the house. :blueheels: |
For me it's a toss up between Spring and Fall. When it's Fall I think this is nice but I really miss Spring. When it's Spring I really miss Fall. Of course that's here were there are four distinct seasons even if there aren't the same extreme temperature fluctuations seen elsewhere in the nation. Our area is considered low desert so the changes are less dramatic.
Anyhow I was just wondering about all this flooding in the Midwest? What the real scoop is. It seems news stations either blow things up or under report which makes it difficult to know what's truly going on. After Katrina as bad as they made it look on the news, people in the area were telling me about all sorts of crimes the media never reported or only barely touched on. On the other hand there have been many false alarm instances of people on the air making it seem as if the sky is falling when it wasn't. When the news was all wake up America because Armageddon is here, but when you talked with people not affiliated with any news network, just local residents in the affected area/areas they say oh no that's just media hype. Temps not that high, winds not that bad and so on. |
..
I just returned home and the time and temperature at my bank reads 2:50 and 70 degrees...:hangloose: |
We all have been having a pretty rainy and chilly Spring here.
|
Right now there's an thunder-storm and heavy rain with hail, coming down outside, but yet it's warm enough to leave the windows open and smell the fresh scent of rain in the air.
High today was 70 degrees, but it wasn't warm at all. Kind of brisk, due to an incoming storm, which is going on right now. Lows in the 50s. Thankfully, the coming holiday weekend will be a mix of sunshine, with rain and cooler than usual temps. |
81 but feels like 90 degrees. 78%humidity.
Gross. |
Temp is in the 90's and expected to hold for another couple of hours. LOL I don't know if I mentioned it before but it used to be like a sweat box in here. After maintenance fixed it I had my doubts telling Monte yeah well we'll hold off on rejoicing until it hits 90, 100 degrees out, then we'll see. Well seeing is believing. Now it's official, this is the coolest my place has ever been in the decade plus I've been living here. :) Man if this is a foretaste of heaven, I'm all in.
|
82 feels like 91, humidity is 68%
|
..
Today records were smashed for the hottest on this date! It's going on 8 p.m. and it's still 86.... |
Mid June and it is still chilly and raining here. 10 day for-cast calls for more rain everyday. I cannot recall the last bright, sunny, day here in NW Indy. 2 -3 months ago? So far, I only saw 2 or 3 flies, 1 or 2 mosquitoes, and 1 tick on Larry my cat. Record breaking.
|
We were in Apache Junction, AZ (near Mesa), where the temp will be 112* today! We are now in the White Mountains (northwestern AZ), where the temp will be 84* today.
We moved just in time! |
Anyone who hates the heat and is thinking about heading to Eastern Washington today might want to avoid it if possible. It's not yet noon and the temp has already hit 90, predicted to climb to 98 and expected to not let up until about 8 tonight. Even then it's only supposed to drop down to 89, slowly decrease and not hit 78 until about 10PM. My electric bill is going to be outrageous, I don't care. This is the first summer I've had a properly functioning air conditioner in over a decade and now that I'm living with it working I don't know how I ever managed without it.
|
I am with cathexis' post on March 13. I love late fall and winter but now in mid June, the miserable heat and humidity is my weather story. :(
|
It's supposed to be above 90, for all but 1 of the next 20 days
|
We have had a slightly mild summer, with sporadic bouts of rain and lots of cloudy skies and cooler than ordinary temps. Just this past week, we've been in the upper 70s, which is leading to a stretch of upper 80's, then for a few weeks we might get stuck in the upper 90s.
Fall is nearly here, though. Trees are already losing leaves and revealing their autumn colors -- which usually happens in late September, but it's only the last week of July. I suspect we will endure a heat wave of sorts, and I'm not looking forward to that, but I hope milder temps return soon. I miss the cloudy skies. However, we have had amazing sunsets for nearly ten nights in a row. Gotta love that, right? |
High today was 99. It's almost 9 PM and finally below 90, down to 89 :|

One of the very best things about living in an RV, is the ability to move whenever or wherever you choose.
Our high yesterday was 85* Mesa, AZ (where we wintered) was 114* :seeingstars: |
The clouds have been teasing us with rain. I say I dare you! Visualizing the steam bath that would follow and then....... Ahhhhhhh a bit of coolness. I worry about the little birds and animals this time of year.
|
Hot and humid...I'm home near the
a/c. |
We've had a couple of hot days, but it's so gorgeous today --- just the perfect balmy, warm weather you could sit outside in, for hours in some cases.
<<<<<<<~~ I am getting all the sun I can, before pearly skies return. :) |
Stay tuned...its only going to get hotter. I do not like the treat of triple digits!
Stay close to the pool, I say! |

Weather report
104 degrees today in central Texas with the "feels like" temperature of 110 degrees.
We are melting! :sigh: |
We have, right now, what is called, "Fire Weather": super hot, low humidity index, breezy conditions, super dry - everywhere. It's a tinder box, outside.
Right now it's only 8o degrees, but the next two days we will soar to nearly 100 degrees and the humidity index will rise ever so slightly. Hopefully, later into the holiday weekend, the heat will let up and the pearly skies will return. :praying: |

Nothing but all types of rain, today and the rest of this coming week. At least it's not cold outside. Right now it's just a heavy misting rain. Window's are open, and there's fresh rain air to breathe. Perfect for today, Sunday. There might be thunderstorms late this afternoon. Today's high: 64 degrees. Low tonight: 54. Sunshine will return by Thursday, which will be so nice. |
I got up to see a red flag warning on the beach. And not knowing what that meant, I soon found out, no swimming is advised. There are white caps further out than I would feel safe with and the crashing of the waves is much louder.
It did not stop me from venturing out to the waters edge. I ended up walking to the pier and back, which was approx 2 miles. The tide has risen and the walking was difficult, due to really soft sand. I'm on the balcony now, enjoying the breeze and the relaxing sound of the waves. ( I have my eye on the Rams game ;) ) The temp is a current 88° at 5:53pm |
It’s been exceptionally hot here. Time to relocate I’m not into losing this much body fluid all at once. I’m heading toward prunage material. ~shrivel ~
|
Perfect almost Fall weather today. Warm and sunshiny this morning/afternoon but not too hot. Cool and clear enough to enjoy the star filled sky tonight without it being cold enough to force a sane person to bundle up. A gentle kiss of sun and a bit of a nip in the air - perfect. I put some mandarin orange peel, clove powder, cinnamon in a pan and left it to simmer like we used to before chemical, artificial sprays and plugins became the readily available air fresheners of choice they are today. I do wish I'd have had one of those pumpkin spice/Autumn pillar candles we used to buy for ourselves as a treat at Macy's, though I'm pretty sure there must have been artificial perfume essence of some sort in them, but they smelled so good. Like pumpkin pies pulled straight from the oven and left to cool. Shoot now I've made myself hungry in a home with very limited food option choices owing to moving. I'll have to settle for some oatmeal sprinkled with brown sugar.
|
Hot with a fair chance of Nasty
|
High today: 63
Low tonight: 49 We have sketchy pearly skies, kind of hazy. The full moon should be very mysterious looking tonight, as it lofts into the sky and sails through the clouds. :hk28: http://www.tellurideinside.com/wp-co...rvest-moon.jpg |
Weather report
The weatherman said that it would be 40 degrees in morning. Burrr!
I put an extra blanket on the bed and found my jacket. :cold: Back to the 90's next week. :cowboy: |
Over 30,000 people in RI were without power due to the bomb cyclone storm and most won't get it back until Saturday. Over 100,000 in Southern NE altogether. Lots of limbs and trees down! It's still super windy and I love it. I just wish it didn't result in people losing power. There was damage at my work too. I've been off for a couple of days so it'll be interesting to see in the morning.
|
It’s 95F in my city and it feels like it.
I’m gonna have to start checking the weather in the mornings. I had no idea it would be so hot today. Will wear a summer dress tomorrow. |
It's weird enough to have a tornado hit a major city but to have seven drop into a metropolitan area that's just plain... WTF universe?!
Linky -- > 7 total tornadoes confirmed as power restored to thousands across Dallas-Fort Worth I managed to get my car into the garage just as hail started to drop. Phew!! |
