Thanks ocean, I am eating lots of soup and drinking hot tea constantly. Also, taking meds and naps. The kitties are very attentive.

Most of the time I don't mind living alone and even enjoy the space that is mine.

But,

when I am sick, even too sick to heat up a cup of soup: that is when living alone worries me. My long term ex was terrific at taking care of me when I was sick.

I miss that so much.

Get well soon Chad!

Thank you Anya, it is those little things like heating the tea or getting a blanket.

having a stupid minor meltdown. Working on overcoming it - or at least, stopping myself from talking myself into doing the more stupid of two options. Just gotta find that 'can do!' attitude again from somewhere..

Hugs to all feeling poorly at the mo. Would happily bring tea, soup, blankets as appropriate, if I could. Get well soon! xx

Had a quick chat with my friend that suggested I try the degree (a retired headmistress.). Felling a bit better about things now.

Tuff Stuff 12-02-2017 05:16 PM

Pretty rested..now I'm bored.

Did a solid job, I think, on the initial stage of one of my assignments, that's due in soon. That felt good. Going to tackle another one that isn't due for a while yet, then see how I feel about the one I've been stalled on.

Gemme 12-03-2017 09:07 AM

Actually, I feel pretty good despite being up before the sun.

I feel a little lost, haven't been here in ages. Happy I remembered my password. It's nice being back and seeing some familiar faces.

I feel hungry and kind of mushy as I watch Loki watching Lara Croft with me as he lays on the arm of the sofa. He's so freakin' adorable.

Esme nha Maire 12-04-2017 06:00 PM

Relieved - I may just have done enough to get some kind of pass from what was previously a dire effort on an assignment. May I never have to do any kind of poster again though!

girl_dee 12-04-2017 06:44 PM

amazing and sad all at the same time.

Shystonefem 12-04-2017 06:55 PM

A bit wierded...

My neighbors just came to the door and said "We know you get up early for work but your alarm is waking us up can you do something about that?".

I was thinking "Sorry guys, I got nothing".

Seriously????

Degotoga 12-04-2017 07:25 PM

Whooped, but very accomplished.

Excited after making plans to go to the mountains Thursday.

FireSignFemme 12-05-2017 12:56 AM

Amazing! I'm still going through things in storage. I'm forgetful and move in slow motion because of the meds I'm on. However my son came over, brought lunch, then offered to help with some boxes. He's a pretty big guy, strong so he moved the heavy stuff around which gave me room to work on some of the smaller boxes. Together we got a lot accomplished and it really improved my mood to have the place looking better, get rid of so much clutter. He also surprised me with an early birthday present and it was just so thoughtful and much needed that I'm still floating pretty high from that. Tonight I tried a new recipe and dinner turned out perfect, so tasty. That hardly ever happens for me. My cards for the Holiday exchange arrived and they look even better in person than they did on the website. An Etsy seller gave me a really good price on some extras I plan to include, as well as a combined shipping discount - woo hoo! It's like I'm on a roll. Now I'm going to fix some hot chocolate, play on the planet a bit, catch the news then drop like a falling rock into bed, I'm just that exhausted. But it's a good tired as I'm feeling such a sense of accomplishment right now.

I've lived in some apartments with thin walls but for your alarm to reach your neighbors, that's got to be hard for all of you throughout the day. It took a lot for them to come to you. Of course, the neighbor that I had to do that to didn't give a shit and blared his rented Aaron's $2000 sound system anyway. To be fair, it wasn't his fault that I worked two jobs and went to college full time but he didn't need to break the sound barrier each night either.

Maybe a softer ring tone if it's your cell? Or maybe put it under a pillow and on vibration in addition to your tone? Not sure what, if anything else, could be done.

As for myself, I feel good. I've got tension in my neck so that's tight but Our new kitty ate and used the litter box throughout the night so We feel better. Actually, I am happy but DC is really happy about it. He's never had a shy kitten before so her hiding this long worried Him.

I work today and it will be a busy ass day, especially since our phones are back online and it's the last day to pay before customers get a late fee and restricted access. The meeting in Boston was canceled so I feel VERY relieved about that. I wasn't looking forward to driving through Boston traffic in the morning hours. Yay!

Orema 12-05-2017 08:26 AM

Pretty good. The work team I'm on is having our holiday party today. We play the white elephant gift-giving game. We don't have a theme this year so I bought a lovely (well, it's lovely to me) "oversized silky soft throw." It's the kind of gift I wished I had gotten for myself. I hope someone enjoys it, but I'm including a gift receipt in case they want to return it.

JDeere 12-06-2017 01:23 AM

Really tired...but glad to get through my shift.

BullDog 12-07-2017 08:41 PM

I've been pretty crabby the last couple of days but I'm all cheered up now. :D

Kätzchen 12-07-2017 11:29 PM

I dunno.... sometimes I feel okay, but I've been sneezing a lot lately and I feel super achy. I might be coming down with something. (w)
