FAKER. You DO know they offer tours of hospitals free of charge nowadays. We're so glad you're on the mend.

Yeah, he could find an easier way to get out of grill duty and torment women in nurse's outfits.

Glad to hear you are ready to start chasing the nurses down the hall! I won't have a chance to stop by the hospital tomorrow, but if you are still there on Thursday, I'll be there!

Hey Austin? Want to go wander around the zoo and feed the llamas? Groupon'd Deal of the Day is for 2 tickets to the Austin Zoo for only $8. That includes 2 bags of food too. Here's the link. Has to be used by October 15.

sounds good to me, but of course, depends on what day y'all go

durrrrrrrr 04-13-2011 08:29 PM

reason number 342 why I love Texas

I went and got my truck / plates transferred to Texas

went into the place ( some ppl call it court house , some ppl call it license branch )

the lady says to me: " it's gonna be high this time because of transferring from another state"

me: I kinda figured that

Lady: total is 119

me:

Lady: I'm sorry

me: um, no, that is cheap, look at how much I paid from that other state

Lady looks at other registration: :|

Lady: plz tell me that was for 5 years?

me: nope, one year. that's right, 528 bucks for one year

so, needless to say, no biggie on how much Texas charges...lol

canmarielan 04-14-2011 09:25 PM

DMV fees in Mississippi are the highest I've paid. Much more than I paid in California; More than in New York. Texas DMV fees are low and that is only one reason it is great here! Reason two, no state income tax; reason three, a reasonable cost of living; reason four, continued growth, specifically in Austin, which is again in the top twenty "cities to live in" in the U.S. this year; reason five, a great community here. It is OUTSTANDING to live here!

I have two tickets but may not be able to make it. I have two home visits for my rescue group on Sunday. One in San Antonio and then one in Wimberly.

So if anyone wants them, let me know. This was the only day I could get these done.
