I managed to get my car into the garage just as hail started to drop. Phew!!

Sorry to hear about your wicked weather. Didn't some folks out your way really have serious damage and injuries?

I feel for you having multiple tornados dropping down in a day. I've seen that having been raised in Central Indiana, and it can be really scary.

Very odd weather for this time of year, though. I'm used to seeing cute Fall dust devils, not destruction.

Good thoughts sent to those dealing with dangerous weather (tornados, wildfires, floods, overwhelming amounts of snow and of course those still trying to recover from hurricane damage).

We will soon start getting our quota of winter weather.

Lyte 10-23-2019 11:20 AM

Yup! There was some very serious damage to homes and businesses farther north of me.. I don't hear about injuries but it's logical to think there we some. Fortunately, there were no deaths... last I heard. I totally lucked out as one tornado was headed our way and then slid NE and ran through an area where I used to live.

Yup too... those who've lived in Texas longer than I say weather swings we're experiencing in October is unusual.

Been warmish here for the last three days, the north 2/3 of CA has been learning the new rules of the road e.g. power shut downs. I am lucky in the south where we are just now showing some small intentional outages (very small 100-500 affected each) the nearest one to me is still 20 miles east.

I noticed last night that the steady cool onshore breeze had reversed and now breeze from the east that was warmer. This morning all was cooled down but I noticed that the humidity normally 40-50% was at 18%. I've only lived here 5 months so "normally" is just this summer. I guess this is my first Santa Ana wind season, we'll see if I guessed right on location.

cathexis 10-26-2019 01:56 AM

Rainy for the past 2 days (uck!), though we have wonderful temperatures 50s in the daytime with frosty 20s at night.
They have had a foot of snow before Samhain. Maybe we'll be so blessed this year.

Chad 10-26-2019 08:04 AM

Weather report

It was 40 degrees this morning. Burr!
I am glad that I threw an extra blanket on the bed last night.

:cold:

Kelt 10-27-2019 01:27 PM

Most of Ca is either on fire or power out trying to avoid it.

I seem to be in a lucky spot*, temps down to 73, 60 at night, humidity back up to 45%, no preventative power shut downs anywhere near.

*Two years of researching to make sure I would be "lucky" regarding fires and sea level issues seems to be paying off. As always though, anything can happen..

JDeere 10-27-2019 02:16 PM

79 but feels like 85.

I cant wait go get the hell outta here. I cant stand this type of weather.

Kelt 10-31-2019 12:04 AM

The wind has been blowing backward again today, I’m finding this surprisingly disorienting. Santa Ana again. Seems to be riling up the coyotes too, yappy bunch tonight.

No fires down my way, good that the temps and especially humidity are holding well, winds not as fierce as further north.

A lot of folks having a bad month, my thoughts are with them.. :firetruck:

JDeere 10-31-2019 12:13 AM

45 degrees feels like 37, its raining as well.

Chad 11-11-2019 05:55 PM

Weather report

We will be in the 20's tonight and tomorrow night with a threat of sleet and ice.
Burr!

weather

Up here in Canada it is 25F. Snow for two days now and still coming down. If this keeps up we wont need to build an arc but we can build one hell of an igloo.

Bèsame* 11-11-2019 06:54 PM

Well the temps have dropped. Definitely slippers and hoodie night!

The rain and wind started at the same time. I looked out to see a leaf storm.

JDeere 11-11-2019 07:11 PM

Cloudy, 50 but feels like 41.

Helps my hot flashes not be so bad 😆

Weather report

When I left home today it was 68 degrees. When I got to the freeway it was 70 degrees. Now at work it is 52 degrees. A cold front came through during my commute. Like they say if you don't like the weather in Texas just wait a minute.

:cowboy:

Mopsie 12-16-2019 09:14 AM

It's cold.

I guess I should expect that in winter.

Mid-thirties all day.

Orema 12-23-2019 01:34 PM

Lots of rain and lots of accidents on the roads.

Same here. I saw an 18-wheeler that had taken a nose dive into a deep ditch yesterday.

Wrang1er 12-24-2019 09:38 AM

It's going to be 60 degrees tomorrow! Santa will be wearing a red tank top, shorts and flip-flops. Ho ho ho!

It's comfortable enough being in the high 40's, but unfortunately we're having a wind storm both here in the Olympic Peninsula as well as in Seattle!

There is talk of cancelling the fireworks off the Space Needle tonight but it has yet to be determined!

Cruising into the new year with an overcast, gloomy winter day.

I think it just got colder, I need more layers!

GeorgiaMa'am 01-01-2020 06:53 PM

In the 50s tomorrow, then rain Friday and in the 30s this weekend. I have to get my coats to the dry cleaners!

GeorgiaMa'am 01-02-2020 06:48 PM

Yucky, mucky, sucky rain. 48 degrees. Looking forward to a promised "sunny" Sunday.

Kätzchen 01-03-2020 10:55 AM

Pearly skies shade the brilliant sunshine,
but soon it will be blue skies for miles and miles.

Highs: maybe low 50s. Low tonight: maybe low 40s.

kittygrrl 01-03-2020 05:38 PM

Chad 01-04-2020 08:44 AM

Weather report

30 degrees this morning but sunny and 71 degrees this afternoon. Way to go Texas!

GeorgiaMa'am 01-04-2020 06:39 PM

Sunny - FINALLY!!! with some wind. And supposed to be sunny through the next four or five days. High of 56 today.

Kätzchen 01-10-2020 11:21 PM

For the past several days, or so, it has been raining sheets and sheets of rain; and it's terribly cold. By Monday night, we will supposedly get hit with snow, lots of snow. Snow generally paralyzes the metro area as we generally don't get much snow, to speak of. But I've got the studded tires on the car and have several alternative routes to drive to work. It might take a while to get anywhere, but safety first is of major importance.

Lows tonight: somewhere near 37.
Highs over the weekend: somewhere near the mid to upper 30s.

By Monday and Tuesday it will drop to the upper 20s, low 30s.

homoe 01-11-2020 07:14 AM

It's been gray and rainy here since the year began! Sat and Sun temps are forecasted for the mid 40's at least.

I've always considered Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)a lot of bunk, but now I'm not so sure!
