Oh, forgot to mention, please don't mail me anything that I have to sign for or that anyone has to sign for. Just mail it normal without insurance. Otherwise it will end up at the post office and I am sooo not going to the NYC post office. Thanks!

Oh, and Ami? Yours arrived and :rrose:(f):koolaid::bouquet::balloon::poc-biggrin::hk13::2nddaywalker::bluebat::vampirebat:

I just received my box of little boxes-- Thank you to everyone who participated in the altered match boxes. I really love them-- and some of you are way creative. Thank you again.

clay 10-09-2014 02:50 PM

I just got my box of mini boxes! Ohh how fun was this to open. I love all of them. You folks are certainly arteests.....extraordinaire!
Thank you all. I am not sure who a couple of them are whose work...but are loved just the same!!!!....:hangloose:

Gemme 10-09-2014 06:09 PM

I received my box as well. I had 3 boxes that I can't find the creator's names for. I believe they were created by ami, Tommi and Breathless.

Ami, was the teeny tiny one yours?

Who did the skull pirate one?

Who did the one with part of my picture on it?

I wanna know!

clay 10-09-2014 06:36 PM

I put some skull and unicorn stickers on your box....see your reps

I figured you may recognize mine by the duct tape and sticky glue. :mohawk: The little string for the scroll was compliments of Ts k.
Still waiting on Boxes from Breathless-Canada, then will mail

You weren't the only one with duct tape, mister mister.

Okay, so that leaves the zig zag skull face with a pink bandana and the teeny tiny one.

Fess up! Who did what?

ahk 10-10-2014 08:17 AM

I did a skull w pink bandana- were there goodies in box? My initials are on bottom of box.

deb0670 10-10-2014 10:54 AM

Mysterious Matchboxes

Are you talking about the completely handmade matchboxes, each with a pretty gemstone in the middle?

Are you talking about the Zombie one?

I know, but would like the creators to let you know, since there were no names apparent

amiyesiam 10-10-2014 07:18 PM

mine were the little tiny ones. I made the boxes!
Mine arrived and they were all awesome!

The mystery has been solved! I realized that I have two of ahk's boxes. Both are adorable and cram packed with fun goodness (as well as having teeny tiny initials and dates on the bottom).

I was right about the teeniest one being ami's and you said that you did a duct tape one with a tie from kaijira in it.

The rest were clearly labeled.

I have kaijira's one that reminds me of our old 3D project from years ago that I did of a beach scene.

I have clay's biggo box with super cute sugar skulls in it.

I have deb's colorful, stickered box.

I have pure's awesome box with the solitary trinket inside (very chic!).

I have Besame's super romantic box. Very creative, girl!

Last, but not least I have Katniss's zen box.

I did not receive one from okie (but we knew about that in advance) and Breathless did not send hers in, so I don't have one from her either.

That's everyone! All stations are manned and accounted for.

I knew it! It totally felt like you.

I thoroughly enjoyed all of my boxes and really liked this project. I still have some leftover boxes and may play with them on my own to get better at doing this particular craft.

Katniss 10-10-2014 08:07 PM

Thanks to all who participated in the matchbox project! I received mine and they were all so different, unique and lovely! This is one talented group!

Just a note about the zen boxes. Yes, they are zen boxes and not mini kitty litter pans! The idea is to pour the sand in the bottom of the box, shake it to smooth out the surface and then place the three stones where you wish. Use the two little wooden sticks I taped to the bottom to draw lines, circles, etc. in the sand. It's supposed to be a meditative practice. :praying:

Just thought I would post that as someone asked why the sticks.

Thanks again everyone! Now, off to finish some Halloween cards! :tarot:

Katniss~~

Matchbox Wrangler West

Let me say,

This was a fun project and exciting to get to see the entire variety from the group. We all did a fantastic job.

Bèsame* 10-10-2014 10:22 PM

I received my box of boxes! What a nice surprise to find when walking into work. I opened it and shared with everyone at work. That was fun explaining our little group :)

We played with a bowl of water to see what the little capsule would open up to. Yeah, that was my day at work, lol.

Thank you to each and everyone of our talented little group. I see the creativity and time it took. Thank you, I had fun in making mine and receiving yours!

I got my matchboxes, and you'll all never know how much it meant to me to still be included. They made my otherwise sad day turn happy. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart!

You guys, the matchboxes are AWESOME!!!

This has truly been my favorite project to be part of, making them and getting them. I'm sorry I haven't been able to check in sooner to thank each and every one of you. They were beautiful and fun and creative...and, and, well, awesome. Thank you all so much!

I think we should do this one again.

Tommi-great job of wrangling, as usual!

I'll be the wrangler for tiny boxes-- themed. Please and thank you.
I was actually gonna put something together and see what folks thought. But was waiting after the few projects currently going on died down.

I have a question-- how long does mail take to get to NYC from NM? I'm still working on my cards-- so I need to know if I need to mass produce them or still work on 1 a day for the next few days. :fastdraq:

That will be a fun one.

A good rule of thumb is 3 business days. I wouldn't cut it any closer than that, especially since J means business with the deadline.

Bumping not to be annoying but because it makes it easier to check back to when it isn't too buried - speaking of Halloweeen :tarot:

Halloween...............

Jenn,

I just popped out at lunch to mail off my packet. It should arrive by Friday.

I am curious.....I told the postal clerk I needed to send it in such a way that it was left at your building and that you didn't have to go retrieve it at the post office. She informed me it was up to the individual carrier. I sent mine in a large padded envelope but it is bulky. I also wrote "Please leave, do not take to post office for pick up." It is not insured and no signature is needed. If things don't fit in your mailbox what do they normally do with them?

Sorry for the ignorance but I live in a place where large mailboxes are the rule and if I need to go to the post office I can usually park 3 spots from the door and am almost always the second in line......the habits of these big fancy city workings are mind boggling......:seeingstars:

Katniss~~

p.s. The $5 is inside your card so open carefully.
