Planning a trip to Palm Springs. I should be getting ready for work, but a nice long drive in the desert is on my mind this morning.

Watching the weather and checking on friends and my step mom on the east coast of Florida who will soon be in the path of Matthew.

Sitting here in a sleepy stupor trying to look the part of a person who is actually awake. It's not working, even though I've been awake and out of the bed since 6 am.

Mostly just resting on the sofa, reading, posting, waiting on a phone call from my mom (who's in town, can't wait to see her!).

Nothing. Ask me in an hour. Still nothing.

My new job is an absolute snooze fest..

It pays better than my last job where I ran non stop...but time goes by sooo slowww. And it's a 12 he shift.

Sigh.

Could be worse. I'm lucky to have found something quickly and painlessly. Guess I just need to bring some soduku. I can only read so much before I fall asleep.

Watching CNN (one of a few English channels here of which I am supremely grateful!) and waiting for a room service dinner of Portugese steak with lime mousse for dessert (treating myself on my last night in Estoril before heading to Lisbon for four nights!)

Drinking a beer and watching football.

Avoiding homework... again... is it bad that I am just not feelin it right now? for like... 2 weeks...

and nose with whiskers.
Puttin my boombox on the deck outside,
and poppin a huge 5 gallon bucketful of popcorn,
because about a dozen raccoons are waiting..
for our Saturday night popcorn party.
Yes Folks..living alone with all the animals here finially got to me lol!

Listenin to the wind and praying the roof stays on..

As bad as the wind is here, I can only imagine what's going on at the coast...
