74 degrees and partly cloudy

GeorgiaMa'am 02-29-2020 07:45 PM

Mild and sunny today here in lovely middle Georgia. Big blue skies with beautiful clouds. Lots of cows standing around enjoying the weather. (I'm at my Mom's this weekend.)

homoe 02-29-2020 08:13 PM

3 guesses and the first 2 don't count......

It's raining in my neck of woods. Already having floods and may have mud slides. The newscast is reporting spinouts and crashes on the freeways.

Hoping people stay dry, warm, and safe.

Rain and flooding here too. Fortunately, we don't have the problem with mudslides too much. Of course, we have our share of incompetent drivers as well.

Drive safely!

L told me temps are supposed to drop down into the 30s, and the forecaster said there's a chance of snow. Sure doesn't look it, it's Spring weather right now - trees beginning to bloom, birds out and about, nothing but blue skies, sunshine and puffy white clouds.

GeorgiaMa'am 03-10-2020 06:27 PM

Rain this morning, but very spring-like and beautiful this afternoon. High of 71 tomorrow, but showers are predicted. At least it's warm - I haven't done laundry in a few weeks and all of my winter clothes are dirty. I got out some spring shirts today.

Kätzchen 03-14-2020 10:18 AM

It is already Spring here, but we got our first Winter Snow of the season last night. And ducks and geese are sharing the parking lot and fields next door.

LOL, I took the studded tires off last week.

High today: upper 30s
Lows tonight: migrating toward upper 40s.

FireSignFemme 03-14-2020 10:31 AM

So weird, the weather this morning has been crazy. Out one window it looked like fast and furious winds blowing in were carrying snow fallen yesterday around and driving it with a hard push sideways. Out another snow flurries, wisps here there everywhere gently floating back and forth around – flitting almost. And out the third falling gently down in normal, predictable fashion as you would expect it to. It's like it's snowing out and I'm in three different countries all at once. I'm not sure what's happening, only that according to the forecast last night none of this should be happening, but it has been for almost three hours now. Anyhow it's 28 degrees out and it seems like things are beginning to settle down. Oh well I guess I spoke too soon because I just looked up and it's basically right back at it again. I love it here. :)

JDeere 03-14-2020 11:01 AM

75 and cloudy

GeorgiaMa'am 03-14-2020 02:08 PM

It is spring. We're starting to get yellow snow just south of Atlanta. That's not "yellow snow" as in "don't eat the yellow snow". It's pine tree pollen - the particles are really big as pollen goes, and it blows around and piles up on things everywhere.

I don't live down by you, but I do know that tree pollen can be terribly toxic for people with allergies to tree pollen.

<<<<<<~~~ And, *ahem*, that would be me. :jester:

Twice a year, that darn tree pollen nearly kills me.

:vigil: :vigil: :vigil:

Lol there is yellow snow all over my white truck..

And its killing my sinuses.

kittygrrl 03-14-2020 09:27 PM

it snowed all day..sleepy

FireSignFemme 03-15-2020 11:03 AM

We've had snow flurries, lightly, off and on for a few hours now. It's supposed to last until 10:30, 10:45am. Nothing is sticking, but not everything from yesterday has melted, so no build up, just nature maintaining yesterday's creation.

JDeere 03-15-2020 11:40 AM

75 but feels like 80 and its cloudy with yellow snow everywhere.

homoe 03-21-2020 08:51 AM

Suppose to hit near 60 today with bright sunshine.

Kelt 03-26-2020 10:53 PM

Hail?!? That I didn’t expect.

GeorgiaMa'am 03-27-2020 09:01 AM

84* F and sunny but deceptively beautiful - the air is full of pollen.

JDeere 03-27-2020 03:56 PM

88 degrees with sun and YELLOW SNOW!

homoe 03-27-2020 04:52 PM

Same here, the air is laden with pollen. There is a green haze in the air. It wouldn't surprise me at all if the setting sun looked green as it sinks into the embankment of clouds, this evening.

We have half and half weather (partly sunny, and lots of clouds).

Highs: mid to upper 60s.
Lows: mid to upper 40s.

Bonus: There could be a full moon tonight.

Orema 04-06-2020 08:05 PM

Raining and a little on the cool side. It’s been raining since last night. It’s a nice and gentle rain.

Stone-Butch 04-07-2020 07:58 AM

Sunny and no rain for four days here in the Toronto area. Enjoying spring as we see mother nature stirring.

GeorgiaMa'am 04-07-2020 08:27 AM

A little cooler - high today will be 78*F. Beautiful and sunny outside my kitchen window. BTW, my grass needs to be cut.

homoe 04-07-2020 10:04 PM

Seattle

Sunny Wed & Thur with temps in the mid 60's

Bèsame* 04-09-2020 11:36 AM

I think the rain was a bust. Earlier reports said. ...7pm. Now it looks like I'll be sleeping thru it. Boo hoo

In other news its cooled down enough for me to open my windows. I have a great cross breeze going. In this apt I have 4 windows, last one only had two.😎

FireSignFemme 04-09-2020 09:30 PM

It was in the upper 70's today. The sky nice and bright, and it was a dry heat which always helps make it seem cooler. It almost got to 80 today and supposedly will here shortly, yet because of the way this building is situated it's not just strong sun coming at us. Here about the time it starts shining in earnest it's just a sign it's not going to be light outside much longer. I'm hoping to get enough to encourage tomato starts, patio size and watch them thrive but wondering if it might be too shaded. It's okay though, if proves to be then I'll just focus on beauty rather than edibles and put in some shade seeking flowers. I don't want to waste time on shade thriving food stuff because I can get a lot of what I like very inexpensively at the store.

GeorgiaMa'am 04-10-2020 08:59 AM

Very windy and sunny here today with a high of 62*F. I had to turn the heat back on. I've had the a/c on for a week. I'm sitting here in my kitchen in a sweater.

Bèsame* 04-10-2020 11:47 AM

Marvelous day! Temps in the mid 70's.
Such relief from the 91 hit yesterday.

☀️☀️☀️☀️

Orema 04-10-2020 11:54 AM

Still raining, but I get to wear my new rain jacket.

Gemme 04-12-2020 06:36 PM

Tomorrow is all rain and thunder and high winds of 65 mph. Batten down the hatches!

Today was lovely. 50s and sunny and dry.

You are right Gemme, it was a beauty. Perfect for getting ready for this storm they have been warning about for a few days now. All potential yard projectiles were put inside and my next task is making sure anything that needs charged is charging. I have to remember to buy bar oil for the chainsaw tomorrow morning just in case. Be safe everyone!

GeorgiaMa'am 04-13-2020 08:23 AM

Unfortunately, 19 people died in that awful storm last night. I heard something that sounded like 4 logs hitting and then rolling down my roof - I need to go out and check that. Today, it's beautiful and sunny again, 60*F right now with a high of 72*F predicted.

Gemme 04-13-2020 07:44 PM

I had several brown outs today and had to reset the server for our cameras 3 times. This entails me climbing on a step ladder to a high stool to the top of a mini fridge and counter top and praying that I don't fall because no one would find me until the next morning. Three effin' times!

Winds to carry through the night. It was okay so far but my work mailbox is doing a severe lean. It might be down when I go in tomorrow. I expect a couple zip ties to snap on a banner we have hanging on the gate too. I put fresh ones on a couple of days ago, so it should still be there even if it's a little 'gap-y'.

Be careful, Gemme! Make sure you have your phone with you when you do that stuff.

Thankfully, things have calmed down here. There sure were a lot of chainsaws going today. Right now it is 62*F and peaceful.

Sunshine and warm temperatures............

~~
Yesterday it was 66. Today and tomorrow temps are forecast to reach 70..

nhplowboi 04-17-2020 04:22 PM

Ok, the wind and bad weather forecast a few days back was minimal here. NOW in the MIDDLE of April (!!) we have a forecast of snow tonight....2 to 5 inches. Come on now.
