vanilla wafers and milk ...

This week I have mostly given up on what to make for dinner. My cooking or ideas have brought me to a place where I am so bored. Last night I had a 4-pack of snack pack tapioca pudding.

Gemme 05-13-2011 12:04 AM

I had cake.

Corkey 05-13-2011 12:18 AM

lipstixgal 05-13-2011 05:19 PM

I had some salmon and a yogurt!!

RockOn 05-13-2011 05:27 PM

I have not made a decision as of yet.

Based on this from this past week:

Monday night dinner:
Blue Belle Milk Chocolate ice cream. Since there was only a little left from the bucket I bought late Saturday, I ate the rest of it that night for "dessert"

Tuesday night dinner:
My made-up Mexican recipe that I nuke for only about 3 minutes

Wednesday night dinner:
4-pack of tapioca pudding

Thursday night dinner:
Most of a new box of vanilla wafers and milk

I intend to put some thought and planning on my dinner tonight. Hmmm, maybe a footlong veggie sub from Subway. Perhaps Arby's Roast Beef. We'll see! The possibilities are numerous. :)

Jealous face.

I'm eating Cheetos now, but hope to actually eat something with some meat, either literally or figuratively, to it later.

I made the most awesome tuna salad sandwiches tonight, if I do say so myself! We can really put it away so I make a large batch and it doesn't last long...

4 cans of tuna in water (drained)
6 boiled eggs chopped
1 small onion
1 teaspoon mustard
Mayo to taste (about a cup roughly)

Stir it all up and it's mmm mmm good.

Gemme 05-14-2011 02:37 PM

I had a huge salad made of romaine, mixed greens, sliced mushrooms, Roma tomatoes, and light Ranch dressing. That was the good for me part. Then I had a bunch of cookies (Keebler's Fudge Shoppe Coconut Dreams) that probably weren't as good for me, but they tasted super yummy.

wolfbittenpoet 05-14-2011 02:39 PM

Cincinatti chili. Yums

WolfyOne 05-14-2011 03:01 PM

Sitting here eating food from Sonic as I type.

I have a guest here who's had her chemo session and never knows what she'll have a taste for. Tonight it was hot dogs, so I went to the drive thru for her. I, of course had to try the Chicago Dog along with onion rings and Ocean Water. Hers had mustard and relish along with tater tots and Dr Pepper.

I have had more fast food this week than I've had in months. I probably put a few pounds back on. Next week, I'll be back to cooking meals for just me.

Greco 05-14-2011 04:40 PM

soup? soup.

alright veggie soup experiment

veggie broth

red onion large cut in half

garlic oregano fresh basil

sweet potato cut

sea salt a little

kale cilantro carrots

well sounds good

BUT I must have missed
something because it was
tasteless for me

I MUST get a veggie/vegan
cook book

Perhaps I'll blend all ingredients
tomorrow and give it another
shot

having tea and "licking my wounds"
at being a beginner at this thing

I admit it thought it would be
just throwing stuff together

obviously there must be more
to it.

So, its to the cook book for me.

Luckily a kind person has suggested
one that I'll get on Mon.

In the meantime, I'll blend tomorrow
and if it fails to taste good

I'll juice it always tastes good in
juice form

Greco still open to learning new things

Have a great dinner everyone!

I spoke too soon. Or ate too soon.

Whatever.

I'm still hungry, dammit.

Red grapes and some black raspberry ice cream are on their way! If that doesn't do it, I'm going to toss in some kettle corn popcorn.

amiyesiam 05-14-2011 06:39 PM

wolfbittenpoet 05-14-2011 06:53 PM

Solution for Greco

Greco,

My friend whom I visited tonight lives a very food-healthy lifestyle and was vegan/vegetarian for many years. I asked her tonight about a cookbook that might help you! She mentioned the book below, and pulled it off of her cabinet shelf for me to take a look inside! It's a great resource - helping you to build your vegan/vegetarian lifestyle with the right ingredients to have in your home, plus lots of yummy-licious sounding recipes.

The name of the book is The Complete Vegetarian Kitchen. The author is Lorna J. Sass.

Here's a link for you!
