Before We Go (2014) Stars: Chris Evans, Alice Eve,

A young woman in New York City races to catch the 1:30 Train to Boston and after missing it connects with a good samaritan:movieguy:

I really liked this movie! For the most part it's just the two title characters set against the backdrop of New York City. Throughout the movie we learned what each characters life has entailed and not in a whinny sort of way either! If you've ever had unanswered questions from a failed relationship, you might enjoy this movie:popcorn:

Bloody Business: Making The Long Good Friday

If you're a fan of the film The Long Good Friday you may enjoy this video on the making of it.

The Long Good Friday is a classic British gangster film. It stars Bob Hoskins, Helen Mirren, with Pierce Brosnan in his first role (a small role, but a good one).

The film's about a successful British gangster whose organization is imploding on Good Friday just as he's trying to forge a bond with an American gangster. It's very good. The storyline was complex at times with some twists—a good film and worth watching.

Packed in a Trunk: The Lost Art of Edith Lake Wilkinson

Edith's great-niece, Emmy Award winning writer and director Jane Anderson, rescued Edith's work. The film follows Jane in her decades-long journey to find the answers to the mystery of Edith's buried life, return the work to Provincetown Mass and have Edith's contributions recognized by the larger art world!

I caught this on HBO the other night and enjoyed it very much:popcorn:

Minions.....I detested it

Tierney 07-27-2015 05:48 AM

I watched this last night. It started slow and I was worried it was going to be bad. Also, I am not normally a fan of sci-fi.

However, it turned out to be pretty good.

I also watched this as well yesterday. Mainly because I am a fan of Javier Bardem. But, I was multi-tasking and the movie is subtitled. Soooo. However, the premise of the movie was quite good. I should try it again when I can actually pay attention. :|

I also saw this last night.

I thought it was good overall and the ending was definitely better than the beginning but it was a tad bit long.

True Story James Franco, Jonah Hill, Felicity Jones

This is based on a gruesome true incident which was very disturbing in itself!

When disgraced New York Times reporter Michael Finkel meets accused killer Christian Longo (who has taken on Finkel's identity) his investigation morphs into a game of cat-and-mouse.

It was ok but nothing to rave about. Maybe it's the fact that Finkel used the death of 4 innocent people to make money off of. that left the sour taste in my mouth! Check it out and see what you think:movieguy:

Mr. Holmes

Very good movie. It started slowly but then picked up. Ian McKellen is such a great actor.

Per IMDb:

An aged, retired Sherlock Holmes looks back on his life, and grapples with an unsolved case involving a beautiful woman.

Director: Bill Condon
Writers: Mitch Cullin (original story), Mitch Cullin (novel)

Stars: Ian McKellen, Laura Linney, Hiroyuki Sanada

Watched Jupiter Ascending...Mila Kunis and Channing Tatum

It was eh for me...cool special effects...story line a bit confusing. If you have nothing else better to watch or do then I recommend it lol

Ben Hur.......

Jenny's Wedding...

Katherine Heigl, Alexis Bledel Tom Wilkinson

Besides not seeing any chemistry between the two lesbians, parents seemed to be living in the stone age when it came to gay's, an obnoxious sister you'd just wished you could slap, and a few other irritating things I stuck with it and low and behold..........

SPOILER ALERT

It all ends up well at the conclusion:popcorn:
