Ignore me. I'm trying to help and making it more jumbled!

My Theme
CCB said no one could share themes so I had to adapt mine a little bit to remove mermaids from it.
Make me shrines dedicated to mythical creatures and their associated elements. Examples: Dragons, Fire Unicorns, Earth Pegasus, Air Water Sprites, Water I want the creature AND the element represented. You CANNOT do mermaids for this project. Is this acceptable, CCB? |

I'm having trouble cutting & pasting on my phone! Will someone help me include my theme? Buddha / Zen, please.

I'm excited!
Now I can go to sleep. |
Can I just say I love all of you and am so excited by these themes?????
|
One more space for CCB's kickass project :hangloose:
As per CCB (Wrangler): "READ THE ABOVE POST DETAILING THE PROJECT CAREFULLY BEFORE SIGNING UP!!! PLEASE DO NOT SIGN UP UNLESS YOU HAVE EVERY INTENTION OF COMPLETING THE PROJECT!!! There is no grace period for deciding to drop out. You may NOT sign another person up besides yourself. The limit is six participants. So, the first five people after me to sign up will make up the project. Please don't forget to post your theme. Themes are also first come, first serve. If someone else picks yours--start gettin' creative! Lastly--HAVE FUN!!!!! I'm way excited." Quote:

While I won't be joining this project, I've been having so much fun looking in on the posters as folks have been breaking out in a sweat making sure they are able to participate. lolol I love it! But, I do have a question ...... NYC - would those burgers have veggie patties in them?? Just kidding. Loving this idea and excited to see photos of the finished projects - they all are such cool ideas!
Deb - who can only manage :tea: at this point in her weekend! |
I'm gonna give it a couple days to see if that last spot fills up, but I don't want to push it too far past that point since it's a time intensive project and I want folks to be able to get all their planning done asap.
Thank you again everyone who has signed up, this is gonna be great! And come out come out wherever you are, oh last participant. |
6th person... ahk... Besame... or mystery person, come out, come out wherever you are :)
|
I'll have you all know....CCB!....I signed up on that Pintrest site for you and inspiration for this project. I've avoided it all these years and now I've been sucked into it.
For the record, I'm a Koi Mermaid. :eyebat: In case you didn't know, Jennifer is sneaky. Her theme seems super easy, right? It's deceptively easy to the point that it's actually going to be hard. She's a sneaky one! |

Also, Jennifer's theme is indeed deceptively simple. It will probably be a bitch to make. I love her for that! |

And that completes our list!!! *BANGS GAVEL*
I check the thread pretty much daily, so any questions just ask away. I shall pm participants my address later tonight. |
Hey, peeps, for my theme, if you are thinking wtf is she talking about you can google search images for the two words in same search: "hamburger" and "kawaii"

That was adorable and cute and worth the time spent! |
What now? I'm done with all the shrines... I got a bit eager to do them and I couldn't stop. Ask CCB-- she thinks I'm nuts. Or maybe I am.

Someone has a little free time on their hands. Are they pretty? |
They are butt ugly. :| what kind of question is that? Seriously.
Yep, I have tons of time on my hands. I had lots of fun doing it- I'm actually making a few for other folks. Thanks CCB! |
It's a valid question. Shrines aren't always beautiful you know. Some are geared towards vibrant visuals that may not necessarily be aesthetically pleasing to the eye but they are very striking. You could have opted to go that route, for example.
I'm awaiting the arrival of a package that will help me with this endeavor. I hope it gets here on/before my first day off. I only get 7 this month. |
A question for all those participating in the matchbox shrine project: Out of curiosity have you been part of our match box trades before on this thread (or the old b-f site)?

I even did one for someone outside of the thread and have a few others that are partially finished (and one I think I'm just going to keep for myself cuz it's pretty pretty). Fun! I'm so excited! I received what I was waiting for so I'll be able to start getting dirty with this project on Saturday. Joy! In other news, I finally got my package from the last round!!!! I got 2 magnets to put on my fridge. I don't know what it is about pretty and fun magnet stuff but I do so enjoy them. There was a lot of creativity in this bunch. Great job, everyone! |
Get it, got it, gone

I received packages from everyone on the list with such unique projects. I got better, I sent out the packages with many unique projects in the mail from everyone on the list. I got married. Tommi's_kaijira and I were married on May 2nd, honeymooned in the forested mountains, and your projects were on their way. Hopefully everyone has received theirs by now. Tommi |

I'm looking to participate in a quick-turn-around project .... of course, it needs to be within 'my' parameters of time. lolol I arrive in Canada on July 3rd and could have my 'stuff' mailed out on Monday, July 6th. I would need to receive my goodies by the end of the first week in August. I realize this might not be doable and I'm okay with that. I enjoy living vicariously through the artwork and discussions of others. Not sure that I have a favourite BBQ recipe but I'm always good for something for dessert.

Craziness indeed! I think pure and I may have had to resort to similar ideas. I've gone to umpteen (that's a technical phrase for A LOT) of stores for one idea for CCB's shrine and I get this look :|. They either have no idea what I'm talking about or kind of get the gist of it but can't help me.
I'm improvising like a mutha over here. BUT Surprisingly, I've totally got Jennifer's all planned out and am good to go. Weird, huh? I thought hers would be the hardest but I've found some inspiration and am excited about making my mental image a reality. This is the BEST project, CCB! Thanks for coming up with it. What's the mail out date again, please? |
