For years I didn't have cars or a need for a car...so I'm only on #3

*Between 1997-2002 my former partner and I had a 1990 Fiat Panda Italia. So dubbed the shoe box on wheels. It had a concave dash unit that was like a shelf. The car could fit V.s decks in a flight case plus the two of us if wedged in Properly. I was always generally terrified when riding in that on the M25, i was certain we would be squashed by giant lorries.

*Between 2004-2008 I had a 1993 Audi 90S. It was fast, sporty fun to drive; it also cost a small fortune to repair. It "took a bullet for me" in a spectacular high speed rollover. I wouldn't have survived that crash in most vehicles.

*Since then I've had a 2005 Volvo S40 T5 AWD, 6-speed. Safety and crash test ratings ranking among my top priorities.

Lets do that one again...
Give me three of your first cars/trucks

I live in a pretty tame neighborhood these days... I don't know that I'd call my neighbors actions crazy, per se ... but definitely unusual...

My neighbors to the left are aiming to get off the grid, they heat their home with wood fire, they use electricity sparingly, they collect and reuse rain water and they have extensive gardens. They reuse just about everything, actually. It's quite impressive.

They have a community tool-share, a ladder-share and a free lending library. They do a lot of service trades. They have twice weekly open house pot lucks and are often heard to be raucously singing bawdy songs while someone plays the piano. They often have random people camping in their back garden.

They also own a cooperative business called the "the pedal people" - they collect and transport trash and recycling from homes and businesses to the transfer station and recycling center - on their bicycles (with custom made trailers), utilizing the miles and mile of bike path network we have here.

My neighbor to the right is a retired widower who rides a Harley and volunteers as an usher at the Academy of Music on the weekends. :)

Give me three of the worst neighbor experiences you've had in the past

ahk 08-14-2013 11:52 AM

In the past = current.

1.) Neighbors with evil children who throw rocks in our driveway, sidewalk, and at our garage door.
2.) Same evil children throw dog shit over our wall and at windows.
3.) Parents of said children above don't give a crap what their kids do.

GM3 cities you've lived in that were wonderful, and reason as to why?

Beaufort SC. Right on the ocean and very historic old south area.
Wilkes-Barre PA It's where I was born and grew up , it's beautiful there. Good food good people.
Tulsa OK. It has been very good to me. Low crime, low cost of living, millions of things to do, wonderful caring freindly people, great golf courses, great places to eat about 100 different lakes to play on. Great place to live .

GM3 Cities you would never want to live in and why.
