Miss Meadows Katie Holmes, Jean Smart, James Badge Dale,

A story centered on a proper elementary school teacher who moonlights as a vigilante.

This was a quirky little movie. Although I enjoyed, I'm still somewhat baffled by the ending

I saw most of this movie tonight.

If anyone else has seen the full ending, please rep or pm me as to who did 'it'. If you've seen the movie, you know what 'it' is.

The disc cut out on me at. the. very. end.

We saw Everest today in 3D IMAX.

It had really believable mountain-climbing sequences, particularly the shots that made you feel like you were looking over the edge of the mountain.

I had read Into Thin Air: A Personal Account of the Mt. Everest Disaster by Jon Krakauer, several years ago.

Everest is not his perspective. It is more from Rob Hall's; with Krakauer as an incidental character.

The movie is worth seeing.

Single Moms Club. It was endearing to say the least. But, I think it could of been better.

I watched this on Netflix last night

I started watching Reservation Road last night but fell asleep about 30 minutes before the end...

What I saw was excellent...

I really liked this movie! I laughed at times and it gave me a tear at times.

We saw it in 3D.

The Martian.

Starring Matt Damon.

A movie based on true events. The disturbing events that took place based on racism may make one question their thoughts and open up dialogue that still unfortunately continues today. Us vs Them imho is dangerous. I am passionate about social issues as well as liking non-fiction. I would warn others that this movie can be very distressing to watch while promoting awareness.

Mission Impossible, Ghost Protocol.

Love him or hate him, Tom Cruise sure can pack in those great special effects.

The Martian; Ridley Scott delivers and this film is destined to be a science fiction classic.

Gemme 10-06-2015 07:22 PM

I also saw The Martian tonight as well as The Intern. Both were fantastic. De Niro and Damon were excellent.

Saw "The Martian" (w/Sis). Great movie and the popcorn was awesome!

Pan - not worth it

Saw "Pan" in 3D. It had lots of exciting visuals, they utilized the 3D pretty well, and the costumes were great. I really liked the character Tiger Lily (Rooney Mara). Sadly, they spent almost no time telling the actual story. It was very thin on plot, and kind of boring, really. Most of the story is told in the trailer. The movie was mostly action sequences and scenes where you felt like you were on an amusement park ride. This is _not_ a Disney film, BTW, it is Warner Brothers. That Disney-type of magical wonder was lacking in all but a few brief places.

I watched We Were Soldiers the other night on Netflix....

What an awesome movie...

Gemme 10-10-2015 06:29 PM

I saw these movies earlier in the week.

It was adorable and fluffy; just the way I like my animated films.

I was disappointed. I haven't read the books so I wasn't expecting what happened near the end of this movie that I did not like. The movie was great in visuals and getting the blood pumping and heart rate going but I was NOT happy with the ending. I hope the next movie makes me happier.

We saw Freeheld.

I always try to support lesbian movies (since there are so few of them).

The couple on whose lives it was based did have a large age difference between them but it was so disconcerting to me to see oh-so-young looking Ellen Page with Julianne Moore. It made it more difficult to get lost in the story for both of us.

Gemme 10-11-2015 08:36 AM

I'm watching this movie right now.

I'm about 20 minutes or so in and there's no Jennifer Lopez yet but I do enjoy watching Jason Statham in action. I'm a sucker for a criminal with scruples.

Cartel Land.

Unbelievable but true documentary about two vigilantes fighting the drug cartels on both sides of the Mexican and American borders.

It was gut-wrenching but also opened my eyes in a new way to the experience of the people that live it every day.

Truly great documentary.

The New York Times reviewer called it "urgent and unnerving".

That it is.

Focus~~ Will Smith Margot Robbie

It isn't the normal type of movie I prefer, but it did have one or two good scenes (like at the Super Bowl game)If you enjoy Will Smith check this one out:popcorn:
