For your information, people, it had nothing to do with weatherboi's post...that was a simple miscommunication. And further for your information...may I remind you all that my father just had a triple bypass not two weeks ago? So why did was a bunch of freaking drama and assumptions automatically drummed up because we simply said we were not attending? Why didn't anyone wonder if something came up with my dad's convalescence and maybe my parents need me instead? This is exactly the kind of bullshit that caused me to stop posting on the dash site. |

UofMfan - thank you for that welcome and timely reminder. I trust the thread can now get back to Kat's original intention...so the Florida B/F community can get acquainted and maybe form some new and lasting friendships (f) Ms. Jo - I know your move date is up in the air, but do you have a date you are shooting for (other than a month ago, lol)? We definitely need to have a "welcome Jo and Abigail Crabby to Florida" party when you are both here! Only two days until vacation for me...woooohoooo!!! I love what I do with a passion, but I always take a much-needed break every three months or so. We aren't doing anything special except go to Orlando and then to my parents' for a few days. I looked at cruises since they are so inexpensive right now, but I wasn't comfortable being too far afield while my dad is recuperating, even though he is doing extraordinarily well. Wednesdays are my late day, 1:00-9:00, so I am going to chill for a bit before I take Katie to her babysitter and get to work. I don't like working such a late night, but I have so many clients from Tampa/Bradenton/Sarasota that I offer one late night a week...that way, those who work have the opportunity to get across the bay for hair stuff without always giving up their weekends. Hope you all had a wonderful day yesterday...I took advantage of the sunshine and drove to my mom's house in New Smyrna Beach and went swimming with the kids. I now have a sunburn and thankfully, my best friend is off today, so I am doing nothing... Mrs. Strutt, sending you thoughts and prayers for you and your family..and a speedy recovery for your dad. It's looking as though the rain has finally left the area and the sun is shining brightly once again. Now perhaps I can take my sister and nephew out to explore this beautiful coast of ours. :) I'm up for any get-togethers that crop up, I am newly single and new to the area as well so I am a tad bit bored out of my mind. :seeingstars: Also if anyone is into moving parties, I will be moving into my house at the end of this month. j/k Jesse |
