Twas yesterday...
I had a big ol me day I did yoga Got some new pants Got a haircut Took myself for the Chinese I've been wickedly craving Took a class on backpacking just to brush up for spring |
It was yesterday....
I "unplugged" from the techno world...computer...cell phone...all of it.
Good thing I am not one of those who just has to be connected all the time......I enjoy healthy doses of just some "me" time.... Went to bed at 10pm...slept the night through.... I miss the days when folks actually communicated in real time...visits....evening chats on the porch watching the sun set & fireflies appear.....sent real letters.....siggghhhhh |

Today I soaked my feet in Epsom salts, did my walking workout, meditated for about 10 min(had trouble focusing or I'd have went longer), sat out on the front porch and drank coffee and just looked at the trees and did NOTHING. All little things but I enjoyed them.

Oh.....not much, BUT I did sit outside waiting for the mail lady to come by. My curly hair, just a touch of lipstick, sunglasses, wrapped up in a dark grayish-dark blue sweater wrap, blue gloves, blue kitty socks and sandals.....smiling at passers-by who smiled back at me, lol. :eyebat:
One of my neighbors came out to see what I was doing .....she said, "GIRRRRL, you look so fly!" I couldn't help but giggle because I didn't do much at all but roll out of bed and sashay myself down to the mail boxes. :giggle: Most likely I will try to do something today....get out of the house, maybe go drop by my BFF house, see what kind of 'trouble' is going on today. Which I'll probably take some cookies over to her house. That should cheer us up! :bunchflowers: |

I had a do nothing, stay in my jammies morning before work. Just me, my cat and some Netflix...

I am resting tonight.
I worked 55+ hours this week so down time tonight is welcome. |

Slept in late today, took a long hot shower abd just relaxed all day. Trying to prep myself for next weeks doctor's appointment.

I slept late, ignored my cellphone and the calls I needed to return, soaked my feet in Epsom salts, and that's about it.

Not very much. *but* I was leaving a 13 hour shift, after multiple days of extra long shifts in sweltering heat and humidity. I looked right and saw in the lobby, the therapy dogs were in house at work. There was a sweet quiet circle of residents and puppies quietly and happily and peacefully smooshed together. I dropped my bags and scooted over for some puppy love and got to love on three sweet puppies. I soooo needed that tonight and it was totally unexpected.
