We're having fierce winds today. Good advance warning though so plenty of time to brace for it for those who hadn't already. We had a power outage here yesterday for about an hour, so for me it just meant don't put away everything I hauled out yesterday to deal with that, set up for worst case scenario. J decided to brave it and brought over meds she'd picked up for me. The car was really rocking but she said it was actually better out on the road than it was parked. Well they're home safe and sound now, Monte is napping. Last night I didn't even need to use the heater. It's5PM, 63 degrees out and haven't had to turn it on yet. It's supposed to dip down into the high 40s tonight.

Careful what you wish for. I could not take the heat and for days now it has been cold here, still is. 32F. with windy conditions. Snowing up north I hear. Nothing here yet but freezing rain a couple days ago. When you get what you ask for you don't get to measure and get too fussy.

The temps have dropped considerably here- and I really enjoy it. Everything just feels fresh and crisp when you walk outside. Although there are those times that your face is so frozen that you cannot feel anything at all. :|

Snow and just more snow. It has finally stopped. However, according to the forecast another system is supposed to move through this afternoon. The sunny side to the coin I guess is that at least it is not blizzard conditions.

During my undergraduate years, I had a year-long exchange planned in Eugene OR. Loved the town, school, lush greenery, but left after the Fall term due to severe SAD. Made it back in time for Spring Semester in Chicago. There was a foot of snow on the ground and bright sunshine. Recovery was fast,

Today and Yesterday had single-digit lows. We had inches of snow on the ground Halloween.

In NY North Country and Northern VT, we are bitching about highs in the 60s F. It's too warm for folks here in December. Hell, we had snow on the ground on Halloween.

Glad we rarely get tornados as it's mountainous. There's a cold front coming down from Canada. Actually, they had a bad weather system in Canada yesterday, there was a front that split into warm and cold. Glad y'all got through that unscathed.

26F and the blizzard has taken a break. Peaceful and cold after a day of snowing and blowing a gale.

By Christmas, in the evening, we are expecting snow, more snow, and more snow. It rarely snows here, but when it does, it's makes life hard. Apparently we are over due for snow and we will be getting tons of it.

Tonight, it's fairly mild. 37 degrees. We will be in the low 30s, upper 20s for about a week (from Christmas until a week after the new year).

It's cold. We'll be lucky if it gets to 30° F.

I bundle up in layers, hat, scarf, parka, gloves just to get the mail that's at the end of the driveway.

No real snow yet but it's coming.

After our last real snowfall its been just 10 minutes of any snow here and there but nothing staying on the ground. Temps are between 30 and 35 so not bad at all.

It has poured rain here the past several days!

Yesterday we had to drive down to Tacoma and at some points the windshield wipers could hardly keep up with the downpours! It's mild at least, temps in the 40's!

Sunday Chicago had temps in the high 40's with sunshine and zero snow!

It's 33°F right now with snow on the ground. Snow removing guys just came by the clear the walkways and driveways. I'll go out shortly to put down some salt. This wasn't a big snow fall, but more than we expected and enough for the snowplows to be out.

Been blowing snow for about 2 hrs now and it is starting with the announced freezing rain. Home is the safe place unless we lose power. 23F.

Not quite 5PM and already it's down to 19 degrees. It was clear and sunny today though. We got a little snow late last night because there was still a dusting in the valleys of the rooftops when we woke. Even though we keep hearing about how high electric bills are supposed to climb this winter so far mine have been about the same as they were last year. I'd rather have it a bit warmer with snow as long as we're indoors, but cold like this if I had to be spending any real length of time outside. Especially if I was driving. If there's ice on the roads I want to know about it.

The storm has stopped and now it is 26F. Suppose to warm up by a little for the rest of the week.

I was told it got down to -1 last night, not sure it got that low but it was very cold. Tonight, around 11PM it's down to 12, 15 degrees, somewhere in there depending on which site you check. I was going to take down the outside Christmas lights today but it was so cold I chickened out. Tomorrow it's supposed to stay in the teens until about noon then warm to the 20's. Even so, that's still bitter cold.

Ton of snow fell all night and it is now a balmy 19F. Ice has formed on my window so its hard to see out. Glad to be at home.

19°F right now but it feels colder, I guess, with the wind-chill factor. I say I guess because I can't tell the difference between 19 or 9 degrees. After a certain temperature it's just cold, cold, cold.

We got some snow over the weekend and are expecting 6 or more inches in a couple days and then more over the weekend.

Folks are happy in this neck of the woods with all the snow. I'm just glad I'm inside my warm femme cave.

Glad I know the temp before wandering out. Looking out we still have snow on the ground but it is so sunny . Looking up the temp it is -10c here which is 5F there. Not a squirrel in sight for the first day in a long time. Oh well back to tv and finish watching my movie.

OK now this is getting out of hand. It is now -20C which is -4F. with windchill. I guess it will warm up a little (and I use the term loosely). Maybe when the sun come up (if it does).
