2) paperwork - I'm in social work to work with people not to do all this damn paperwork

I don’t understand cranberry sauce. People trot it out holidays, usually Thanksgiving sometimes Christmas, but I've never seen more than a quarter of a can actually eaten. I mean why bother. If you're feeding 15 people and you still have 3/4 of a can of something left consistently behind, I doubt anyone is really going to miss it. I don't understand how it got to be such a thanksgiving staple.

I don’t understand doing fucked up things like killing people in exceedingly upsetting ways (or even just killing them in everyday ordinary ways really) or beating your children for god. I don’t profess to know god personally but I doubt he’s impressed by this behavior. And if the god you (not you personally but the generic you) are praying to is I'm concerned he's not really god at all.

I don’t understand why people say they will be with you in a minute. They rarely are. I’ve taken to timing it when someone tells me that. So far out of a 167 people only two have come back in a minute. This kind of thing doesn’t foster trust.

GM3 things that are the exact opposite of the way they should be.

Get out my winter clothes, pack up the summer and cry a little.

Fantasize about moving somewhere warm where you can swim in the ocean all year.

Go for a hike up the mountain that is conveniently located in the middle of the city that I whine about all year because it doesn’t contain an ocean as well.

Ooo, this is challenging!

*I'm against: military action/air strikes in Syria, however, I agree with the President that use of chemical weapons must be treated swiftly and severely.

*I am against: the death penalty (unequivocally), however, I can understand how the loved ones of victims would desire an 'eye for an eye'.

*I am against: the Catholic church because I believe it is a deeply corrupt, intolerant and widely damaging institution, however, I know that church communities provide solace, comfort and a sense of community to millions of people.

Great question! Let's do that one again!

I’m against lying but I understand it maybe necessary to lie under certain circumstances.

I am against a position that advocates making abortion illegal but I can understand deciding abortion is not an option that one would personally choose.

I am against violence but since I’m also against dying or even being hurt, if I am threatened or if someone I love is threatened I will not hesitate to become violent.

Perhaps this shows how I may lack a bit in the conviction department more than it shows support for something I am against but anyway…

LOL, yes. I can't argue with any of those. Especially sex on the beach. Sex in the water though can be better than it appears.

New Coke – everybody I knew hated it but when I tried it I thought it was really good. Tasted like pepsi, which I already like 10 times better than Coke. But I suppose if you buy coke you don't want pepsi.

Anchovies – I’m not a big fan, but they are definitely better than they appeared

Just listening and offering encouragement without any advice. It doesn’t seem very useful but people seem to love it.

Sex on the beach sounds good...until the sand gets involved. Then, find me a hammock, a couch, a car seat...anything!!

Anchovies? Love them. The more I travel, the more I realize little fishes are really quite tasty.

Three things I'd change -

I'd be less dependent on caffeine, in any form.
Maybe a little less cautious about things that should be simple.
My scrawny legs.

No sand gets involved when you're in the ocean. It is challenging though, but way worth the effort. IMHO

I secretly believe there is something about me, something I just can’t figure out, that makes me unlikable.

It’s not that big a secret because my wife knows (fortunately she doesn’t hold it against me, although it’s not her favorite quirk of mine)I hug a pillow with a mickey mouse pillow case every night. I wash it and put it right back on, although I rotate other bedding. If I’m going to be away for more than a few nights it travels with me. We forgot him in P-town once and we had to drive back to get him. Fortunately we had only gone a few miles when I remembered.

Secretly I’m a sucker for a happy ending.
