When I say "no" I *always* mean "no." The last 3 times I said it were;

1. No I do not want to upgrade my cable package. (said to AT&T)

2. No I will not attend your holiday function this Friday. (said to a friend)

3. No you may not partially fund a project nor may you borrow my project money to do so. (said to co-worker)

1. Try to spend as much time as possible outdoors and in nature. No carols, no consumerism, no decorations.

2. Plan your summer vacation. Be detailed, get brochures, turn in leave requests, etc.

3. When all else fails start an aggressive workout/eating plan. Nothing like dropping a few pounds or toning a new muscle group to make one feel smug on Jan. 1st as the rest of the world rolls out of bed with hangovers and extra poundage.

I don't do things for love, but because of love. Semantics ;).

Give up, or at least modify, any bad habits that my partner doesn't like
Go to events and learn about hobbies that don't interest me but are her loves
Learn to get along with friends I may not like.

bitterly cold, windy and snowy Saturday here:

1. Sleep in, walk dog, return to bed with a french press of coffee and a book.

2. Meet Bestie for annual Champagne tasting at a local wine shop - taste 20 fancy-pants artisanal small-batch Champagnes, return home feeling significantly warmer than when you left.

3. Return home, make a lovely hot meal and retire back to bed with a hot toddy and aforementioned book.

2. Make a snow angel

3. Have a snowball fight!!

4. Go for a long walk.

5. Go sledding!!!!!

6. Pull my kid in a sled.

7. Make a snow creature (am thinking loch ness monster)

8. Shovel my driveway and that of my elderly neighbor.

Buy a handful of good books and shut your phone off .

Start a fire and cuddle up with the one you love the most, if you are lucky enough to have her in your life.

Start a home improvement project.

I hesitate to answer because "it's the thought that counts" however;

1. Some homemade baked goods from a co-worker who I know lives in a filthy, dirty home.

2. A bottle of gosh awful smelling perfume (that is the kind of gift where you really need to know the recipient.)

3. Any of the religious based self-improvement books given by my mother.

There is the last picture of my entire family before we all moved out of state. It was a backyard picture with the swimming pool behind us. We had just ate a BBQ dinner. Brothers, parents, nieces. I have it enlarged and farmed on my stairwell wall.

A small 5x7 pic of me and my best friend at Disneyland. I'm wearing pink feather Minnie Mouse ears.

A treasured picture of 4 generations of girls in my family. (It took 40 years before the next boy was born!)
