I'm all tied up in the last stages of my tri-project. (I just don't know how to say that word! , lol)

I've pickup all the pieces and carried them across statelines to finish. It's always fun to explain to my Mom, what I'm working on now...lol

Breathless 10-25-2015 11:44 PM

Ours are done and go in the mail in the am.. so excited to see how everyone has taken this idea...

(trip tick)

That's dedication!

I've heard something from clay, Breathless & Surferboi, CCB, ahk, ami, Besame and Sweetcheeks and have received ami's project. I expect Sweetcheeks' to come today given when she said it went into the mail.

We're down to the wire. I'm so excited!!!!!

(and I just can't hide it)

My expected date of delivery was October 30th, something about it going to the east coast from California. But I am hopeful it arrives earlier.

clay 10-26-2015 04:09 PM

Gemme....

Mine went out today...should reach you Thursday OR Friday at latest!

Thank you for wrangling this fun project! I haven't ever made "triptychs" before....

I am so darn excited to see everyone's takes on the project idea!!! :)....

Are they here yet?!?! lol

candy_coated_bitch 10-26-2015 04:53 PM

I glittered!!!! :) Two triptychs do not have glitter so clay's butch allergies can receive one of those lol. I will let the projects dry overnight, then bag them and mail them tomorrow. I will confirm when I have done so.

I am still working on my projects. They are 90% complete and will be in the mail on Wednesday. Am I okay to send via FedEx, Gemme?

You can, but it's not a requirement. As long as your postmark is on the 28th, you're fine.

Gemme 10-27-2015 06:13 AM

One more day!!!!!

Here's some examples.

What I want is a triptych....however you see it. The theme is up to you. Let your imagination loose! Positive emotional connection please, no sadness or anger allowed.

Please do not create pieces larger than 5x7. It can be one single piece with 3 panels or carved panels that are hinged together or a unique design to you. As long as it's one piece and it makes you happy.

There is no restriction on materials. Photos are fine as long as they are happy and meet the size parameter. If you go glitter crazy, please warn me/the recipient.

Make sure to clearly note which work is yours on each piece. You can write it on the back or put the pieces in a baggie and write it on the baggie. Whatever works as long as we know without a doubt who did what. I like what we've been doing with noting the artist, the date and the project on the pieces. That's a nice touch that I'd like to continue.

There is no restriction on the number of participants. I'm giving us a month to complete and send them, which should be fair even if we get a good sized bunch.

The deadline to mail the project is October 28th. Your work MUST be postdated on or before this date.

Please include $5 for repacking and postage costs. Grazie!!!

We already know what the next project is and who is wrangling it so please get your work in on time so we can roll right into the next project and finish before the end of the year.

"For 2015, the rule is if one of us is more than a week late or drops out of a project for whatever reason, that person is welcome to continue posting but is not allowed to sign up for a group project again until January 1st, 2016. No exceptions. This rule applies to participants and to wranglers. This rule must be posted at the bottom of all new projects that are being wrangled so that members can thoughtfully consider whether we wish to commit to a new project."

Someone brought my attention to something. In the examples I linked, there is a triptych that I do NOT want to see from anyone.

Cowboys are fine but, please, no naked cowboys.

Even if they make you happy.

No full frontal nudity, please.

Side boob is okay, because I'm not a prude.

These are our Triptych Project Participants:

1. Gemme
2. clay.........
3. nycfem
4. Cara
5. Breathless
6. Surferboi
7. CCB
8. ahk
9. AMI
10. Besame
11. Sweetcheeks

You will make 10 triptych pieces, unless you'd like to receive one back for yourself and in that case, you'd make 11.

Please see the details above and if you have any questions, don't be shy about it. Someone else might have the same question.

I will make one change to our standard procedure. I will give you all the option of how you want your projects mailed back to you. If you are fine with a padded manila envelope, then send $5.00 for postage and repackaging. If you would like a boxed package, please send $7.00.

This project has been about giving the participants as much power as possible throughout the process. Why stop now?

One...two...three...CREATE!!!!

I can't wait to see what you all come up with!

Please remember that you have two options for your returned packages. Send me $5 if you want your goodies returned to you in a padded manila envelope and enclose $7 if you want them returned in a small box.

You can take something for that, you know. :mohawk:

candy_coated_bitch 10-27-2015 12:13 PM

Mine went priority today and you should have them on Thursday. I put your $5 in a separate envelope but that's on its way too.

Bèsame* 10-28-2015 07:53 AM

I cut all the ribbons and tied them up in a box, sending some fun stuff on their way to Gemme's. That was great fun! Thank you for a fun project :)

Went out yesterday, should arrive in 2-3 days.

It's easier for me to send Fed Ex because they pick up in our building and I don't have time to get to the downtown post office during my 30 minute lunch break. Blah blah blah. All that to say I've got the envelope ready to ship today, and it is due to arrive by 4:30 pm on Monday, Nov. 2nd. ☺️

This was fun! It took me FOREVER to figure out what to do. Hopefully they are to everyone's liking. 🎨

FFS!

I just re-read the project guidelines and realize now that I sent 9 projects and not 10! Grumble. I will put one more together tonight and send it via post tomorrow. It'll probably arrive before my Fed Ex package arrives on Monday with a little luck. 🍀

Any ideas on what might be the new project? This always sound like so much fun especially as folks post when the mail arrives!

nycfem 11-02-2015 07:22 PM

I'm wrangling a Post Secret project (waiting until Gemme finishes up before starting). If you don't know what that it then you must be living under a rock then you can check out this link: http://www.postsecret.com

nycfem 11-02-2015 11:00 PM

I kind of wish I hadn't read all of them right before I was going to try to sleep.

They are pretty heavy and more than a few were sad.

nycfem 11-03-2015 06:20 AM

Yeah they were pretty sad this week. Sometimes they are more on the side of light and funny yet thoughtful. I like both types though I can understand why reading the heavy stuff before bed might not feel like the right timing. I hope you were able to get some sleep!

nycfem 11-06-2015 08:58 PM

Do you have everyone's triptychs, Gemme?

Gemme 11-06-2015 09:59 PM

Sorry for the delay. I worked over 14 hours today and have been working 12 or more hour days all week.

I got Breathless and Surfer Boi's yesterday.

I have not received ahk's. He said he was considering dropping out but has not gotten back in touch with me since mid-October. I think it's safe to say that ahk will not be participating in this round.

Do you all want me to send your work for ahk on to him or do you want them back?

I will get the projects in the mail in the next few days so we're good to go for your project, nycfem.

Breathless 11-06-2015 10:08 PM

i think we will do what the bulk of people decide.. It's unfortunate we haven't heard from ahk.
Officially packages we sent to Australia and New Zealand on the same day arrived before the package sent on the same continent, rather sad actually.

cara 11-07-2015 01:11 AM

I'm ok sending out all my projects and receiving one less than expected. If you want to send one of my projects back to me, it would be ok, too.

❤️

clay 11-07-2015 07:23 AM

I would like for ahk to receive mine I made him!!! Thanks for the update. I was wondering.....

I am fine with you sending my project on to ahk. If you want to send the extra back to me I am fine with that as well.

~SweetCheeks~ 11-07-2015 11:22 PM

I am ok with ahk receiving my my project or getting one back, either way is okay with me. Thank you Gemme
