http://www.feelnumb.com/wp-content/u...0w-259x300.jpg Edgewater Hotel 2411 Alaskan Way, Seattle The one special request my visitor asked was too stop by the place where the famous picture of the Beatles was taken fishing out of their hotel room! We stopped by and enjoyed drinks during happy hour. |

Marination Ma Kai 1660 Harbor Ave SW Seattle, WA 98126 There are few better dining options on a warm Seattle day or evening than Marination Ma Kai on Alki Beach in West Seattle. Food aside, this restaurant’s large patio overlooks the Seattle skyline and has some wonderful views! Even tho it was a rainy evening we sallied forth from Downtown and headed there. My visitor lives in one of the best foodie's paradise IMHO, so I tried to take her to places that were distinctive to our area. Owners fuse Korean and Hawaiian fare here for a unique experience that includes Spam musubi sliders, kalbi beef tacos, Hawaiian mac salad, and kimchi fried rice. We passed on the Spam sliders, but did enjoy several of the other items. |

Aalto Lounge 3356 SE Belmont St, Portland There was a statement posted that the Happy Hour promotion is for well-mannered, appropriately-tipping customers which we considered ourselves to be, so we bellied up to the bar, sat down, and ordered! I had something called a Slow Burn and my drinking pal ordered a Belmont Jewel. This place had a fun crowd! The drinks & prices were amazing..:hangloose: |

The struggles and demise of the 24 Hour Church of Elvis were much lamented. "The church flamed out faster than a hunka, hunka burnin' love,” the Oregonian's Steve Woodward wrote in a story about a tourist who was "all shook up" after coming all the way from Tampa, Florida, to visit the church only to find it closed. Karl Samson, author of Frommer's Portable Portland, described it as “just plain unique." https://oregonencyclopedia.org/artic.../#.XO-XYRZKiUk |
