LOL....COLLETTE you are absolutely right about replanting! We have new trees every year. Our big trees are very healthy and we have walnuts galore. I have harvested some this year because of covid but have left plenty for the squirrels......maybe we will be living off walnuts and spring water in the time of covid. Oh and maybe burdock root which is almost as prevalent as the walnuts.

End of another year is coming soon and the promise of a lot of new things we can look forward to in the new year.

I have earrings similar to these. It's fun to bring out the Halloween decorations, even if just for a few days.

I love the crisp air, the snap of a fire, working without sweating, soups and stews, wearing my hair down, warm/soft/fuzzy pajamas, the changing of the leaves and the color orange (it's everywhere!).

Everything about it - especially when it arrives!!
However, My two favorite things about it are the cooler temps and the inevitable changing of the leaves- especially here where I live - they are a sight to see! |

Love about Autumn
The air seems cleaner. The hot sticky summer is taking a break. Soon be time to turn on the fireplace and relax with feet up and a hot cup of coffee.

The words cozy and snuggle are used a lot more. I also like getting out My Fall/Winter clothing too.
I am also looking forward to decorating the back patio with a Fall/Halloweenish feel - and having a fire burning in the metal firepit. |

I love the trees in my neighborhood and they will be "showing out" in the upcoming weeks. Summer is my favorite season, but fall (and winter) in Michigan is something to behold.
The beauty of the changing leaves takes your breath away. They're out and about year round, but I only saw my first one of the year yesterday. It was a woodpecker with a red head. Very cool. |
