Saw Hail, Caesar! last weekend. Similar to what Gemme said I thought it was inconsistent. Truly witty and funny some moments, but dragging awkwardly through other moments.

I watched The Intern last night.

It didn't keep my attention. And I love Robert de Niro and Anne Hathaway...

I was more than a little disappointed

That's okay. I liked it enough for both of us. :)

Bridge of Spies..........
While I did enjoy it, I must say perhaps it could of been just a bit shorter:popcorn:

I recently streamed the Martian... I was a little apprehensive because I thought it was going to be like that awful movie in which Sandra Boluck (sp?) floated around in space for two hours talking to herself, which I never even made it through the first five minutes. However, the Martian was surprisingly good - would I watch it agin? 'no'... definitely worth a watch, though. I'm glad Bobbi talked me into it.

They open a week apart. One's more of an anti-hero movie and the other is about real heroism.

Last night I rented Spy with Melissa McCarthy. It was OK....definitely loved the girl fight in the kitchen lol

Then I watched Everest which I heard was based on Into Thin Air....which I read years ago and enjoyed. I also heard that the author Jon something with a K that I can't spell wasn't happy about the movie. It had been so long since I read the book that I had forgotten that he climbed everest that fateful season. I thought he just wrote the story of what occurred.

It was difficult to watch, knowing full well the outcome. I know they knew the risks...but it just seems if just one thing had gone right for them it would've turned out a whole lot better.

Right now I'm watching Better Angels. Its a movie about Abraham Lincolns childhood. Hugely interesting...but if I didn't already know some of his history, I'd probably be lost. Its an artsyish film...I'm enjoying it very much...

Already Tomorrow in Hong Kong

It's just the two main characters set within the background of Hong Kong.To me it sort of had the feel of Richard Linklater's 'Before' Trilogy. Enjoyed it! Curious to see if any sequels follow:popcorn:

Ingrid Bergman in Her Own Words

She was such a looker....

I watched Bridge of Spies at long last. I enjoyed it very much....

I bought the series Sons of Liberty from the movie rental place. Its about the birth of the American Revolution. I've only watched one episode thus far but I'm enjoying it.

Except.....I don't agree with the casting for John and Abigail Adams. Its probably my personal prejudice since I've read more about them than any other founding father/mother...and yes I'm partial to them and their genuiness. My .02.

Bridge of Spies

Very good and I enjoyed it. Not as much as I enjoyed Spotlight, but it's a good film and I look forward to seeing it again.

I saw The Finest Hours.

I liked it. And it reminded me of my grandpa who served in Chatham in the Coast Guard.

Gemme 02-16-2016 06:09 PM

I saw this today and liked it.
