It's in the middle of the city, on a lot set back from the road... You have to walk up 14 stairs to get to the yard...(but there is parking in the back.. you would never have to go on the street.) It's perfect... and even better... heheheh.. none Mitmo's furnature will go with the house... oh nos honey... I hate that english cottage is more the flavor than stream line modern... shucks... you know how much I dislike english cottage... heheh... the thought of my big amazon in a chair covered with tea roses give me such a sadistic thrill...

I feel like the universe is giving me a gift for being so honest about what I needed... and it's given it too me... I haven't been this excited about something since I found my tree house...(and those that remember that, know how excited I was)

It feel like sanctuary... It feels like home...

I want it...

Waking up this morning to a sleepy puppy face looking at me crazy. How dare I wake him up :)

A new day started with so many things to be thankful for. Job, car, apt, health.

A friend, with an amazing storytelling talent, telling me a story. I won't look at stinging nettle or white geese the same again. I wish I could hug her.

Chosen Family.

After a 14-hour work day (which is STILL going), Uncle Terri showed up at the house with so many prezzies that we felt like it was Christmas!!

She had 3 lights for our library, 4 tubes of caulk, speakers for my laptop, 2 barbecue sandwiches, a crime magazine with the pictures of everyone who has recently been arrested, and a partridge in a pear treeeeeee!!!

We happily scarfed down our sandwiches and have been playing with the computer speakers and watching some reruns. Sometimes sitting around on a Monday night with people you love and a big red dog is just what it takes to soothe the (overworked) soul. :moonstars:

I love my flannel shirts when it is cold out. They are comfy, soft and warm. :)

Heh....my house looks like a combat zone. There is plastic draping everywhere and huge gaping holes cut in the walls in the dining room bay window and in the master bedroom on the wall opposite the master shower. I can only imagine what the roof looks like, judging from the sound of things. :|

....and Myra, who is her usual bright teal green (unstressed color) is still peacefully sleeping on the ledge in the frog house. :) :frog:

Ivan, on the other hand........

.....has turned to camouflage olive brown (stressed color) and has hidden behind the thickest vines in the frog house. :| :frog:
