The County sent out a notice that the wind chill factor will be 4 below zero after midnight until tomorrow at noon. That NEVER happens here. I'll take Brittany out as late as possible before the temp drops, and leave the faucets dripping.

8.6F for the rest of the week it seems. That northern wind certainly brought a new chill to us today. Turn on the fireplace, cover with my bearskin and sip my hot coffee. Not a big problem. No snow to shovel however so my van is clear.

Snow is gone here too - it was pretty while it lasted. High temps in the 20s though - frozen roads - they're advising everyone not to drive. The boy is out of beer, but he's taking it pretty well.

It’s been a month of no rain or hazardous weather events, for which I’m grateful. But, after weeks of dazzling sunshine, we might get a skiff of bad weather. Our mountains and volcanoes will keep getting tons of snow, but we might get snowy ice by the weekend. Spring should be here soon, tho. All month long in January the trees were budding. Normally the trees bud up in late February, early March. Hope we don’t get snow or ice but we might.

We are having our first real snow this year. Has been going most of the day and hasnt quit yet. This is more like we are use to. 26F but the wild winds have calmed down.

It's 44°F in my neck of the woods and you'd think it was 75°.
Everyone is out and about. There were lines wherever I went and everyone had smiles on their faces. Snow is still on the ground. I saw a sturdy looking snow forte on my way home. It's getting up into the 60*s and 70*s now and it's supposed to stay that way, until it gets even warmer. Time to put all my cute sweaters and jackets away and figure out what I'm going to wear this spring and summer.

There's a wind advisory and a tornado watch going on right now. Fortunately where I'm located on Stone Mountain, we never seem to have tornadoes touch down. They tend to either drift north (usually) or south to go around the mountain. I am charging my phone in case the power goes out.

Two months later, we are still hovering in the low 70s… it’s still a bit windy at times, we’ve had a few sprinkles of rain now and again, but it’s mostly dazzling sunshine.☀️

The ongoing hurricane that has caused so much damage has hit my home island with a fury. Super highest winds they have ever seen, 18 to 20 Ft. waves hitting the south shore, hours of gusty rain hitting the East coast and snow blizzards on the West coast. 1/2 the island without any electricity and much flooding going on and there is no chance of comming or going to the island by ship as usual as the waves in the Atlantic are far too high and dangerous. Winds will keep planes grounded for a while also. Prayer is a good solution right now I think.
