Not feeling like a slug.
New friends. An hour and almost $100 spent in Barnes & Noble. Coming in to a clean workplace even though I'm still slightly annoyed that our internet is down. Godiva chocolates. Compliments from strangers. All in all, a lot has made me smile today. :) |
Yesterday.
Seeing My niece today and getting a big hug from her.. and hearing her tell Me that she has missed Me. Then she proceeded to give Me her new email address and made Me promise to write every day.

I don't usually believe in "good signs" or "bad signs", random "Omens" w/o a very good reason, but today was just....Crammed with bad feeling...The breaking point was when I arrived at the Hospital and suddenly remembered a previous bad experience in the same place...
On top of that, Registry lady insisted I still do Surgery after dropping a bomb on me about co-pay. There's no way I could afford a 1,000 ${U.S.D} co-pay, she kept saying "do the surgery deal with co-pay later" fuck you, it's my credit, my bill, my debt..... We got in touch with my Insurance, and while my Mother fought with them, I kept staring at a bunch of papers on the Volunteer desk, for those wishing to Request prayers.. My insurance demanded to speak with me, regardless of the fact my hearing aids aren't compatible with her phone or that I'm Deaf... All this just ....Hit me like ice water, and I said "No, we're not doing this today." All hell broke lose, the only fucking thing everyone didnt do was haul the damned Hospital Admin. to coerce me to change my mind.... All their "Efforts" did was cement my decision. They even brought a Sign Language Interpreter, to make sure I understood, I explained exactly how I felt to her and she agreed with me while the Surgeon, secretary, RN, Register and my mother stood by asking what we were signing, she would raise her hand to tell 'em to wait. When I got home, the well-wishes, support, and encouragement was overwhelmingly uplifting and much needed,, It made me smile, and I realized I truly did make the right move. And yeah it's going to be rescheduled, and the Surgeon was rather sympathetic. Again, thank you, with all My heart.... :praying: :) |

Was gorgeous outside and the Smokey Mountains were...smokey. Wrapped it up with a orange cream slushy....fun!!!! |

My two hour nap this morning. And something I've been trying to get back to for almost four years that finally came about last night. *sigh* I'm smiling and pensive....where does it go from here? Hmmmm Don't care. Gonna savor one day at a time like I have for four years. :D

Smiles today....
...teasing Scoote about her mullet ...working from home...so that I could jump in the pool in the afternoon with Rooster and play a little in the middle of a work day ...finishing up two big, annoying projects (that I inherited halfway through and all messed up) and getting the documentation done just in time to leave for vacation ...knowing it's my difficult boss' last day on the job ...3 sleeps and we're on a plane to the Bahamas :beachkids: |

Hot as Hell outside I've gotten sick last night from the heat. Got up this morning went into work still sick. My boss locked me up with two fans blowing on me in his office. :).
The woman at work who has told me she's crushing on me bringing me a tuna sandwich from home. And me feeling bad cause I have no interest in her. My best friend and her gf from past night at dinner making fun of me cause a woman has approached the table to ask me for the ash tray next to me. And me being oblivious to the fact she sat down at the table next to me staring Again no interest. I had no idea that was flirting. :) |
Alone time.
Spent my day hunting out overpriced antique shops along the coast. The weather was cool and grey until I hit Santa Barbara, then ka-pow! Gorgeous sun. Every song my iPod played on random was perfect, the weather was sweet, and I brought home a box full of fruit from a farm off of the 126.
Yep. Definitely reason to smile. |

I like ice cream! :D Picking up stuff for our camping trip next week Finding out our tent we put on layaway last week is now on sale.. and getting $54 cash back as opposed to the $20 we thought we'd be getting Buying a cute polka-dot bathing suit Sitting down and knowing there is no cleaning or organizing to be done :praying: |
Waking up to the sound of a mocking bird, which i absolutely adored. I sat out on the deck with my coffee and closed my eyes and just listened.
It is truly amazing the free things in life. |
