just came back from a nice walk with two pooches
after I fed them their dinner, I checked the radar mosaic website for my area ... noticed a small window (pocket) of dry weather approaching so we were ready ... it started raining yesterday mid-morning and has not stopped except for about half hour or so just a handful of times.. same for tomorrow ... :( I was in hypervigilant protective mode during our walk tonight ... Jennifer and Kevin can always sense that in me and refrain from being pushy ... most of you will not be interested: in a little while, I will post a photo I took last Monday of a copperhead ... Monday had the same kind of weather as this afternoon and evening - hot and somewhat rainy early in the day |

With the exception of a hard hitting cold, I'm fine. It's not bronchitis. Or the flu. I spent most of my childhood in the hospital with a majority of lung related illnesses and almost died from whooping cough. Vomited up over a third of my blood supply. That was not fun. Not fun at all. Neither was being held down on cold gurneys, being stripped down and having ice water soaked towels thrown on me. Again, that was soooo not fun. This just surprised me and it's my own fault. I eat some 'miracle foods' every single day, get some sort of exercise most days but the thing that weakens my immune system more than anything else is lack of sleep and I shorted myself sleep for about 4 days in a row. I knew it would backfire on me. I just didn't expect it to hit so hard but there's all kinds of stuff going around up here so it's inevitable that I'd catch something if I let my guard down. No worries! I've got cold meds, ibuprofen and Emergen-C, a new humidifier and the day off tomorrow. I plan on sleeping late, doing some crafting and taking it easy. I'll be right as rain soon enough. Thank you for your concern. :) |
