what did you buy today
I shopped my groceries as usual and I heard people talking about a nice lamp that would help you relax, clean the air or something so I went to google (my middle name) and checked it out.
Apparently like so many other things these days there has been a huge recall all over different countries from these salt lamps catching fire from the cords (wrong ones) and also making some dogs and cats sick and cats even dying from licking he salt. Many of these were not cheap lamps just recalled after all the mishaps. I did not go into brands but apparently you can get a fire regardless. This is not to say ALL salt lamps are a problem just buyer beware and check where you are getting it from. Many have wooden bases and from what is said the sweat from the lamp rots the wood with the salt so you have got to get one with a marble base if you don't want the problem. Anyway I am glad I looked before I shopped. I don't want any lamp that bad. |
Well, for no good reason other than I had a hankerin' for it, I picked up a pizza. It was on sale too!

A beautiful vintage 1960s black 'babydoll' négligé from Etsy, and some Winter clothes on Amazon. I've had really good luck shopping for clothes on Amazon and have only ever had to return a couple things. Etsy is always a win though. Oh, and some birthday toys for my ❤︎ precious grandson.

lots of groceries and a new coffee machine. My old machine was not making hot coffee so much.
Went and got a haircut. *S |
Drinking water.
There was an alert this morning from the police department and city hall telling my city not to drink the water. An amoeba that eats the brain was detected. Restaurants were told not to open. I didn't know how long it was going to last. It was lifted a few hours later. |
I got the fur babies some wet food, some hygiene products for myself, some cleaning supplies and some groceries.
|
I did buy a few groceries, but I also needed to buy a cordless drill: So I can rectify a drill-job from last year, when my sil's husband put up the curtain rod in the front window of my studio.
I got a good deal on it, at Lowes. Black & Decker, cordless drill, for small home projects. Plus, bonus!, it came with a 2-year warranty, which only cost an extra $6 bucks. All, for under $30 bucks. :cheer: The drill came with drill bits, an assortment of screws and dry-wall thingy's, so you can screw in a screw into dry-wall materials. Which is exactly what I need to do. |
Apparently, I just bought 3 pieces of artwork. Free shipping guarantees that they will come, one a week, for three weeks.

Half a dozen medium sized glazed pots for the front courtyard.:wateringgarden:

Groceries. I realized that a bunch of my coupons for my salads expires today and I didn't have any in the fridge so off I went. I wound up getting $60 worth of groceries and of that, only $15 were the 7 bags of salad.

4 massive snow shovels and 3 extra long car snow brushes.
There's no way this is going to be a "mild" winter in Eastern Canada's "snow belt". You may as well take heed too, all you folks in the Northern Eastern USA. You can never be too prepared for the "Climate Change" and that doesn't mean Minnesota will feel like the Tropics. |
Week long spending spree, replacing sprinkler systems from both 20 and 40 years ago. Every time I turnaround the project gets bigger, pretty much expected.
What great fun! :superfunny: |
Some groceries, bathroom supplies and cat food. Oh, and a duster for the blinds.

past few days
Stackable washer and dryer Curved shower rod 2 pairs of tennis shoes Cat food |
Well, I have no idea how this happened. I came home with the cutest dishes. All white with starfish and seashells around the rim. 4 dinner plates, 4 smaller (dessert size) and 4 smaller bowls.
And I think they all jumped in because my wallet said..what a great deal! Amazon was no where in sight..lol And I just found them on line, @$9.99 per plate. Well, I only paid $2.99 |
They are cute!
Today I paid bills and bought groceries. I also received some of the things I bought the past couple days for Prime Days. I put together Loki's new elevated feeding station and he's happy with it. No more neck and back strain for my big boy! |
More plant pots for my courtyard project, I have never had a yard where I used a lot of containers before. It’s sort of $hockingly expensive and I still have to buy plants!
:wateringgarden: |

I've picked up several containers reasonable priced at Good Will Stores, Habitat, and yard/rummage sales...:wateringgarden: |
A rack of beef ribs I’m bbqing tonight.
|
A new litter mat. My other one is packed up somewhere and I'm tired of sweeping up litter day and night. I also bought some salads, guac, bread, naan, frozen fries and a pizza for dinner. I also paid a bill.
