My best friend V made me smile and laugh till it hurt this morning! She SO gets me. We have our morning ritual of talking on my ride in to work. She is a student of Buddhism so I always get a life lesson as well. This morning she finally figured out how to explain things so I get it.... she used the movie Matrix. Her line was "Stop trying to hit me and hit me!" Still laughing about it!

A nice quiet morning with good coffee, House on TV, and playing fetch with the puppies. Wonderful people in my life!!!!! Oh and knowing Big Brother is just a week away!!!!!!!!

Getting a phone call when I was sound asleep and having an incredibly sexy voice on the other end!

Taking My sister to school for half of the day, then going to pick her up after knowing that today is her final day of school before summer holidays and seeing the faces on all of the teacher's faces when My mom presented them with corsages or boutoinnaires as a thank you for a wonderful year ......... omg grade 7 is gone, next year is grade 8 ~ she's growing up so fast :-)

Finally!
I've been waiting since September of 2006 to be rated as "Service Connected" for my PTSD and Major Depression. Well, today I got the phone call that it finally came through at a 100% total and permanent disabled, that means the government can't take it away from me!
What's more, I qualify for no advelorem tax on my house, my kids can now go to college free, I get a tax exempt free card so I don't have to pay taxes on anything like when I eat out or on groceries. It still doesn't seem real to me but I am very excited; I've been waiting a very long time for this. I had to contact my Congressman's office but it was well worth it. But most of all, I'll be getting a hefty lump sum of back pay that I'll use to pay off a credit card and the time share, maybe even my truck...yeah, it's gonna be that much. :seeingstars: |

getting out for my walk today, following all of my rules for today & following through *smiles*, texts back and forth while He works, ♥ knowing i am SO very loved by Him, the beautiful sunshine and warm weather, having my moment with nature and finding some peace of mind.. and lastly... my father, made his second AA meeting this week, today.. and did so of his own free will... this has me completely thrilled for him & for us!! |
The purity of heart of a 2yr old. Separated from Mom and lost, crawling into the arms of a tough looking butch with a badge. Refusing to release the grip she had on me till Mom was found. Not viewing me as different and showing no fear of me, but feeling safe.

Off work @ 11am. Let the long weekend begin!!!! Its cold beer, country music, BBQ, fireworks, swimin, and good friends!! It just doesn't get any better than this!!

ding dong avon calling
My friendly neighborhood Avon lady brought my goodies to my work. Made made me less grumpy that I have to work on a holiday weekend while all my friends are off.
And for an extra smile I painted my nails with my new polish while at work. :) Take THAT 12 hour work days! |
Talking with my neighbor who is battling cancer. He is only 28 yo. I offered to take him for a chemo/radiation treatments, and helping out with other stuff. It was good to be able to chat with him. It was comforting for both of us. |

Honey, the squirrel of mine, came to me this morning, and after getting her peanuts, came right back. She wanted to chat with me. This is so unlike her. I am wondering if she wants me to paint her nails. She kept putting out her front paw. I tried to hold her paw, but she jumped. They built their nest right in the tree behind my house. They can literally jump from their tree to my yard and back. Rosie may not like it when I tell her I am using her nail polish on the squirrels nails. Just not an every day thing for most people. |
Waking up to the sounds of opening day of the Tour de France on the bedroom TV and Miss Pinky saying I am worse than a little boi on Christmas morning when the race starts. We laid in bed and laughed and tussled with the dogs before getting up to watch the race. She makes me smile BIG because she woke up early to turn the TV on for me.

Sleeping until 10:30 this morning;
the wonderful evening had last night with a very special friend and a very special young man; the gift of 2 feathers found by a very special friend; Thursday evening spent with special friends; the wisdom and support of beloved sisters; my little kitty bringing me the gift of her favourite toy fur mouse just now; and coffee....lots and lots and lots of coffee! |

Oscarliscious my 4year old nephew made me smile lots despite having 'caught' the habit of using my full birth name from my Pops. However, now that I know I can make the 20odd mile round trip one my bike I can 'retrain' him out of this bad habit when I go over to play. He's forgiven his trangression because he's Oscaroony and totally adorable despite wearing his 'Auntie' Tez (not my birth name) out
