I haven't been here much as I've been in a depressive state of mind and one more piece of sadness may just tip the scales and push me overboard.
Sadly, I come here with a heavy heart as I found out R has another nodule in her throat that showed up in an ultrasound. She was scheduled for a biopsy, but it was canceled because they said it was too small to biopsy at the moment, but will check again in 6 months....WTF is that all about. I'd be scared to wait 6 months. R once told me, she's not afraid of dying, but more afraid to go through chemo ever again. So, all of you know with my state of mind, why I may not show up in this thread often. For my brudder, continued prayers and blessings to you and yours For SD, who is a mountain of strength to her loved ones at home, peace and prayers For Lady Pamela and her son, keep on keeping on with promise and hope for the future For those who need inner peace and strength, I pray daily |

I am lighting this flame asking for energy and prayers to go out to my sister in law Karen and her 5 children and grandbabies today. Last night they discovered the blood was not reaching her heart. They went in this morning to do a cath with a balloon. They realized her main vessel had a hole and she had lost lots of blood. They fixed it and I just got word they will probably have to give her a tranfusion. Still waiting to see. So far, though in ICU, she is atleast stable. May those working on her be guided by a higer source. May the family be comforted and feel protected and comforted. And may she know how very much she is loved. May she not be scared at this time. And may her direction be swift. And healing be strong. And if now is her time to go, may our loved ones be there to guide and calm her journey. Thank you so much in advance! |

My youngest brother (Dan) told me my stepmom is back in the hospital
I worry so much for both of them as he has taken care of her 24/7 for so long now He told me he can't even go out for fear of leaving her alone Although he does go out when they need things for the house I'm grateful he moved there about 6 months after I left My brother Peter will find out next week if his cancer has spread or the chemo is helping R has a doc appointment in April and won't have to wait 6 months to get checked again She's been feeling really tired lately, I talked to her today For them I pray daily along with my prayers for others in my life that are near and dear to me |
We just found out that PinkieLee's partner D-Ray lost her mom yesterday morning after a long battle with Cancer.

Lighting a candle for my roommate, and best friend, Hayden. I received a call at midnight tonight, advising me that he had been admitted for meningitis, in a small town 2 hours from home...I drove out to be here for him and because his girlfriend does not have the MPOA to make decisions for him. I cannot post a candle with my iPhone, so I am keeping the picture of one in my head for him. I am praying that it is viral and not bacterial, which is much worse.

The last 18 hours has been emotionally and physically draining. I still have many hours to go before I hear the test results about my friend's meningitis...I know in my heart that they will come back as viral and not bacterial (the better of the two), but the waiting is hell on earth. Having to drive back without knowing the answer was really hard.

Thank you to all of you for your kind words. Good news was heard today, Hayden is back in Portland, and it was determined that it was viral. His girlfriend has taken him to her place, and is pampering the hell out of him, which is exactly what he needs right now. He also needs some kind of tether to keep him from returning to work too soon!

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone that sent prayers, positive thoughts, healing energy & words of encouragement for D & her mother. I find comfort in knowing that she is no longer in pain.
