All typical rules are in play:

#1. "For 2016, the rule is if one of us is more than a week late or drops out of a project for whatever reason, that person is welcome to continue posting but is not allowed to sign up for a group project again until January 1st, 2017. No exceptions. This rule applies to participants and to wranglers. This rule must be posted at the bottom of all new projects that are being wrangled so that members can thoughtfully consider whether we wish to commit to a new project. And for the purposes of clarification, if someone drops out before the deadline to sign up has been closed then they are not excluded from future projects because they are still following the rules."

#2. Please add $5 for repackaging and postage. I'll send my address to you all later in the month.

#3. Make 7 pairings (or series, if you are so inclined) of any of the following: traditional 2.5x3.5 ATCs, rinchies, twinchies, inchies, minis or micros or a combination thereof.

#4. The theme is love and/or music. It's your interpretation, so be as literal or abstract as you want to be. Any materials are accepted as long as they don't tick and go boom.

#5. The deadline is etched in stone this time: February 29th. Your goodies MUST be postmarked by this date. It's a Monday. Plan accordingly. Those who comply will receive a surprise in their packages. Those who don't will be sad, because not only will they miss out on the surprise, they will be susceptible to rule #1.

Yes, I've made note of the deadline multiple times. Yes, this is the one thing I will be absolutely adamant about in this round. Come Hell or high water, that postmark should say Feb. 29, 2016.

If the 29th comes around and you are not finished, mail them anyway. I'll go Tim Gunn and make it work.

This is, indeed. I expect to squeal a little when opening the packages. I expect Oliver to look at me like I've lost my ever-loving mind too.

For those who participated in the Postsecret project, I just wanted to share: Post Secret Live! is coming to Atlanta this Saturday. I just bought my tickets! Thanks for cluing me in to this phenomenon, nycfem.

I went to Michael's on Friday and spent almost $100 - way, way too much for me (and it all fit into one little bag!) - and that was with good coupons! I came home and figured out what I really needed, and took almost half of it back today.

I'm determined to make it through this project without a trip to the craft store!!! I will keep you posted as to whether or not I keep this pledge. I just thought of like five things i want while typing this.

I'm considering getting back to making my handmade valentines after a couple years off. They will be late in the mail, I am afraid - so they might end up being hand-made something-else. I won't claim they are fabulous, but they are fun to make and each one is unique.

One of the reasons I like making them is because people get so cynical and bitter or sad around Valentine's Day, but my first memories of celebrating it were my grandmother and I cross-legged on the floor with construction paper and stickers and glitter and weird craft supplies making valentines for everybody - and I think it's a fun way to celebrate.

You do! You are always so super creative and, like I said, if it just doesn't come together, send what you do have. It's not as bad as you think.

It is with my sincerest apology that I have to say I need to drop out of the project. I know what that means as far as my lack of participation the rest of the year. And i am sorry to everyone who worked hard and wont get a project from me. I'm going through a really tough time and I just wont have anything to send tomorrow. Sorry again.

Hey, CCB, you have a one week window of lateness to send something if you read the rules, so not so quick, my tough sister- this may be just what you need to stay with us doing projects for 2016. Send us blank cards if you need to, just make sure you get the dimensions right.

I refuse to accept this. Send me what you have done so far, no matter how finished or unfinished it is. I can't go 9 months without crafty goodness from you. I shan't!

That would be an injustice to us all (but I'm mostly thinking of myself here).



This is true. This project was built around today's date especially but the thread rules still remain.

Today is the mail out date, everyone! For those projects I get from all of you with the postmark showing today's date, you will receive something extra special. You may love it, hate it or being ambivalent about it but it's from me to you as a thank you for putting everything together with a slightly shortened time frame, so take from it what you will.

It doesn't have to be museum worthy art, but it should be from YOU....beauty, warts and everything in between.

Make SURE your package has today's postmark when you send it out.

I'm very excited to see what everyone has done (including CCB!)!!!

Just clarifying my own statement: CCB, you have within one week from today's date for Jim to receive your package.

I will see what I can out together in the next couple days. Jim was an autocorrect on my phone lol. I have no idea what I was trying to say. I will soldier on pen pals.

OK, maybe an exaggeration there, but you know how it is, once you start, you sometimes get into it. Just trying to be encouraging :-) .

Update: I put a project together that is simple but cute and that I don't feel embarrassed to send off to you guys. I'm going to let it dry overnight and send it out tomorrow. Thanks for not letting me give up! Especially Gemme. And sorry it wont gave the special postmark.

Hello all,

I'm very sorry to have to say that I couldn't mail my project today. I have several reasons, but no excuse. I've had an extremely difficult month medically. However, I know other people have problems and deadlines and important things to do, so that's not an excuse, just an explanation.

As you all are a generous bunch of folks, I hope you will accept mine late. I plan to mail them out by Friday. Again, I apologize, especially to Gemme.
