It's nice to see others crushing too.

I call shenanigans - I see your name popping up in other people's posts all the time!

Shenanigans?? I think not. What I said is I never see my name and if someone puts it in their post, I have missed it.

And for the record.. I just went back to the end of October and did not see my name with the exception of people quoting my posts lol.

Hmmmm,

At what time can you call a crush, sweety?

bkisbutchenuff 12-09-2012 07:05 AM

I do believe the answer could be YES!
:D

Ciaran,

I've a massive (did I say massive? It is actually gargantuan in proportion...godzilla-like, if you will) crush on you despite your rudeness, your dismissive hand gestures (if you combine the rudeness AND the hand gestures I might possibly swoon!), and your arrogance . In fact my crush on you is so big that I won't mind too much if you wear higher heels, and nicer heels, than I do (in fact, I have some VERY high heeled boots that I am sure will look absolutely smashing on you). I also promise not to get jealous if you snog Kermit the Frog when I'm not looking (I'll even get the two of you a no-tell motel room for your birthday).

As a sign of my crush, I'm willing to FedEx some lasagna, lovingly homemade by my own hands (I'm of Italian heritage and my lasagna kicks ass...if I do say so myself. And, as a bonus, I will airmail some meatballs), to you in London, together with references (typed in triplicate on parmesan cheese scented paper) attesting to my domestic abilities (yes, I do windows) and we can take it from there.*

*'tis the season...and I think in the spirit of giving everyone should have the kind of crush they want made to order....just call me Santa! ;)

Wow. This is the sort of message I've always dreamed of seeing here. In fact, I don't think I could have written it better myself :D

I was so relieved to hear you talk of your Italian heritage. One of the greatest fears in my life is that I start to fall in love with a woman who, once she has my heart, reveals that she is French or, even worse, a Boston Red Sox fan.

Subject to the lasagna being of a sufficiently high standard and the references checking out okay, I think I could have a crush on you too. Clearly too early to talk about life-long commitments or marriage yet - well, until my mum gives you her approval.

However, just out of interest, is it possible to drive a U-Haul over the Atlantic Ocean to London?

Skipping away to update my facebook status from "Single" to "It's complicated" .....

ps - any chance of fedex-ing over those high heel boots alongside the lasagna?

The Boston Red Sox? Are they even still a team?? (putting on my helmet, preparing to face the wrath of Beantown)

Surely in this advanced age, U-haul must have invented a semi-aquatic truck....surely! I think I shall also update my facebook status to "white picket fence fantasy pending the rental of a semi-aquatic truck and mother approval"

p.s. If fedex doesn't balk at lasagna shipping, I can't see that they'd have an issue with boot delivery.

Wow. Okay, I'm don't think I'm in the crush stage anymore. I already think that this could be love. Antagonising Red Sox fans and accepting their wrath - I cannot think of a more selfless gesture.

By this rate, I think we'll be getting married by end January 2013 ..... just remember that I get to wear the heels on the big day.

We need to be realistic about this. A white picket fence is an American dream. If we get married, you'll be moving to London and there are no white picket fences here. Also, the only person who has a garden in this city is the Queen (not me, the other one).

It's condo / apartment living here with space at an absolute premium. However, not having a garden has its advantages - it means you've got more time to make the lasagna and tend to other domestic chores.

Yes, I'm beginning to feel very hopeful that this could work out exceptionally well.

What?? You mean you don't all live in semi-castles and sit in rose gardens sipping tea while a mobcapped housemaid says things like "Yes miss" and "Shall I bring out more kippers?" Damn you Merchant-Ivory!!

Sigh...well, as long as YOU promise to wear the heels at the wedding I suppose I could forget that I won't be living in London over 100 years ago. January 2013...I'll meet you at the church. I'll be the one in white (don't laugh!) holding flowers. ;)
