The same way you would with a child (or anyone, human or animal), imo:
1) speak to them with a loving tone in your voice;
2) find out what is making them bark (or other attention seeking devices) that warrants your attention;
3) address their issues in timely ways.

I don't know if that it is so much that the amount of lies being allowed; as it is the amount of different ways to get the "news" that we seem to be lambasted with it all be lies or not.....just my two cents!!

1. Fire the person who causes you the most irritation. (don't knock it, I have done this twice in the past month and my days are much better now and the rest of my staff thanks me.)

2. Hot sexting during boring meetings.

3. Surf BFP while on boring conference calls.

4. (and in all seriousness) look out my office window at the Children's Hospital across the street and thank God I am not one of those parents sitting vigil next to a sick child. Puts anything work throws at me into immediate perspective.
