she was sad today so I pulled up some pictures of her and her siblings when they where younger and posted them on FB for her that made her smile what made me smile was a friend request that came in from my 16 year old niece!:) |
Getting a SERIOUS hair cut today!! It's just too hot for all those long, thick, heavy curls.
And finding someone FINALLY that knows how to cut natural curls. I'm very happy with it and it feels about 10 pounds lighter! No more pinning it up in heavy bunns that give me headaches. |
Talking and laughing with the ladies at the hair salon while The Twin got her hair cut. Even the lady who said, "I love it short. Even if it does make me look like a queer."

Finding out there are Abby bobbleheads at Comic-Con and I have a friend there and I sent a text and she is picking me up one!!!!! I feel like such a happy geek.

Sharing stories today with the widow of a
man who was a cranky old bastard I had to deal with a lot at work. He was an iconic outdoors writer here. He would call me once a week to chew over the issues. I'd visit in person with him whenever I was in his neck of the woods. He was like a cool old uncle to me. Miss those calls. Miss my flycasting lessons. Miss you, Shep. |

Waking to my son dog all curled up in the small of my back. Knowing what unconditional love is. Having a gorgeous peaceful sunrise this morning while sitting on the patio drinking great coffee. Looking forward to starting the new job Monday. YAY! And reading what made others smile today.

After spending the weekend in the ER and hospital room with my daughter, I'm smiling that she's home, and that they found the right medication to stop her from having seizures.
She may a homophobic pain in my ass, but she is my child and I was very worried and I am happy she is going to be ok. So I'm smiling and the Wee One is smiling... Oh and the daughter unit is smiling tooo lol |

Talking to my sister tonight about my upcoming trip home. Having her remind me just how mad mom used to get when I would walk in the house with live lizards hanging from my ears when I was a kid.

Finding someone to put up privacy fencing around my deck, repair what needs to be repaired and put up gates so Bella won't have a chance to go fall in the pool, and clean my gutters.
