American television doesn't get any better than this. The Wire has set the standard for excellence on American television. Cops and robbers at its best, though it's about so much more than "cops and robbers" (it's also about unions, the educational system, politics, the press, the justice system).

Something similar out of Australia is "Underbelly" and the closest series I've seen from Canada is "Intelligence." Both of these series are worth watching, but "The Wire" has set a new standard. I am tempted to watch it again.

Please let me know if you have any recommendations for superb television writing and acting.

Lucky you to have come across this gem--you are in for a real treat.

Dumb ass Ghost Adventures. If you've ever watched it then you know Erin makes the most messed up face. I call it the kielbasa face, because I just want to shove a kielbasa in his face hole when he does it.
Kinda like that

This is a nine minute clip of the 12 Monkeys. Not the movie a new show coming to Syfy. That 9 minutes made me want to watch it!

We Are Pride

Am watching short and long films from the We Are Pride youtube channel for free.

I haven't seen anything with a butch/femme relationship, but there is hope.

Beware: These aren't cheerful films, but there are some cheery films at the links listed below. I was just drawn toward these today.

I’m watching a video recorded at the Steel Pedal Guitar convention and enjoying it immensely. It’s a great snuggle-shuffle dance song that I can hardly wait to try with my honey after work today. 🥰

Gotta practice for our NYE party. 🍸🍸

I was not raised in the Jewish faith, but I've always been interested in what the rabbis have to say about the Jewish perspective on issues of faith. One of my most favorite Rabbis is Rabbi Manis Friedman, who has a wonderful youtube channel that I follow with a lot of interest. He is plain-spoken and very interesting to listen to. From what I understand, Rabbi Friedman has a large non-Jewish following who, like me, find him easy to understand and a wonderful teacher. He also is very knowlegeable about philosophy, so he's even more interesting (to me) to listen to.

I found this lesson of his to be very interesting today:

A Feminist Hero

Warning: Triggers

Watching live coverage of Gisèle Pelicot speaking out after guilty verdicts were made in the mass rape trial verdicts of 51 defendants including her ex-husband.

Here is a recap of the case from Associated Press.

She exposed the truth and shifted the shame.

I'm watching our Shark Matrix robot vaccum the house to make sure she (we dubbed her "CLEAN Elizabeth", but really call her "the Queen") doesn't "eat" something she shouldn't.......like our charging cords, which sometimes dangle on the floor. Sometimes she hits the odd cat treat on the floor, sending it shooting like a missile across the room!!! Otherwise, she does a good job.

It takes her about 3 hours to vaccum the entire house, but hey, she's doing it, not us!!!! :winky:
