Waking up in a house full of love and joy, even if it's not "officially" my family.

JOY!

Watching my toddler nephews just going to town and ripping the shreds out of the christmas wrappers.
Forget the toys, just get them the wrapping papers!!!!!!!
Love it!!!

My Joy for Today

Helping out at a homeless shelter
Helping to feed the poor and homeless
Missing a certain gal, but knowing she is happy

JOY

On this Chirstmas day, turning on my computer and finding all the emails from ones that warm my heart.

Now, I won't lie. The presents I have received have been wonderful! However, it's the events....the people.....the atmosphere and crackle of something special in the air that has brought my joy meter to the very tippy top. Those near and far have touched my heart today and for days to come. I feel very blessed.

My best friend's little boy who is a year old got to open his Christmas presents today and he was having more fun opening them than playing with his toys.

Waking up this morning to my oldest niece and nephew at my best friend's house. That was one Christmas wish I was granted.

An early Christmas present from a dear friend and my family and friends.

My life is truly blessed and my Christmas couldn't be any better.

WhiteTigress 12-25-2009 10:43 PM

Waking up this Christmas morning with my angel. Getting up and the two of us preparing gingerbread pancakes and maple sausage, then calling the kiddo to come over for breakfast.

That was followed by the three of us opening our presents.

Such a sweet and precious morning for us to share. The first Christmas of many, shared together.

Shi is my life and my love. Shi brings me such joy.

I'm exploring how forgiveness can make more room for joy in my life. This is bringing me TONS of joy because I find that I have a lot of things and people to forgive in my life...starting with myself.

There is a book I found helpful with that very thing. It would bring me joy to share that info with you.(gotta keep the title of the thread in mind, right? lol)

It's called, Forgive and forget. Healing the hurts we don't deserve. By Lewis B. Smedes. There are points in the book that are a little "God geared". If that's not a manner of thinking for you, I know you're a smart cookie and can apply the words to yourself in a manner that is. Anyway, It helped me.

I would offer to send it to you but, I loaned it out and never got it back. (yes I have forgiven them! lol.)

Peace to you in your journey.

knowing that I am loved, eating a bunch of goodies from my gift basket,
enjoying a hot cup of coffee, knowing the cabin is coming along, bright
blue skies, a cat that loves his cube, a life that has balance, and a
tremendous desire to continue saving $ for another mountain trip.

* That Christmas is over for another year.
* That I'm going to be in sunny Cali in one week and two hours.
* That I'm staying there 8 days ... on the company dime.
* That I will get to spend time with some of my friends in the LA area.

Cowboi 12-26-2009 09:22 PM

My cousins from San Antonio, my cousin from Memphis, and my cousin and his son from Bastrop. We had Christmas dinner tonight.

Making it home after a rainy, windy flight.

Being nuzzled and snuggled by my tailless wonder-cat. :cheer:

RNguy 12-27-2009 02:04 AM
